Rider Switch and Multi Pass question

How will rider switch work with the new multi pass system? I am thinking that since you can only ride the ride once using the multi pass system that the person that had to wait will have to ride alone. I haven't been to Disneyworld in about 17 years and my adult kids and their toddler have never been.

We have only used rider switch at Universal and as you know you don't have to jump through hoops at Universal.
