Hello we are heading to Disney DH DW DS(5) Dgrandparents.
How does this rider swap thing work since there could be a couple of days where it is just the 3 of us.
Say DW and DS go on speedway and I am waiting for them to get back. What happens when they get back.

We used Child Swap -- where you had a child that couldn't/didn't want to ride, so one parent stayed with the non-rider and got a paper fastpass that said Rider Switch (or something similar) and when the other parent and kids (up to 3 people total) came back, the waiting parent could go in the Fast Pass line with 2 other people -- or wait hours or days to ride again.

I'm not sure why you'd need to swap since you can all go in line together? As far as I know the swap is in place to allow parents to ride with their children -- which you can do since you don't have a 2nd child that can't/won't ride an attraction.

Yeah, as Princess said, rider switch isn't really applicable to you. It is designed for the case where you are travelling with a baby who cannot ride. So mom and dad are stuck... do they have to EACH wait thru a line while the other waits with the baby? No. With rider switch, one parent rides via the normal line while the other one waits w the baby. Then afterwards, the 2nd parent can go on via the fastpass lane, since the first parent already waited it out.

Since you can all go on, you'd just all go on. There would be no reason to switch at the speedway, nor would you be given a ticket.

Perhaps if the 5- is too short for some rides. (Like primeval whirl or rockin rollercoaster, 48") you could do it there if the adults wanted to ride these. There are a few rides with 44" requirements, but a 5- is probly tall enough to hit these rides. Ours were easily, and our DD5 rode Space Mountain no problem (but she was too short for the 2- 48" rides)
