Rider Swap question

OK, our girls will be 20 months old at the time of the trip. Obviously they can't ride the thrill rides. So we'll use the rider swap option. Do we have to use the rider swap THAT day? I'm guessing yes, but I'm just making sure. We plan to start each day at rope drop and leave the parks around 11:30am and then return to (usually) a different park around 4pm until close b/c the kids need to rest. So if we could use the RSP another day during our trip, that would be cool.
Not trying to scam the system, just want to know all of my options for planning. :)
TIA!
Rachel

The Rider Switch passes are now printed each day with the current date, and are only good for that day.

They used to be printed up way in advance and had dates up to several weeks in the future, but they stopped doing that. Far too many were ending up on eBay...
