Rider Swap question for TOT

Trying to figure out TOT plans since DS12 has now decided he'd like to do this one. FPs are already all booked, and we have just one TOT FP for DH. I can't go on it since I'm pregnant, and DS5 is tall enough, but won't want to go. I've thought about how to redo FPs, but am also wondering if rider swap could work for us here. If I go up with DH, can we get a rider swap given the small child who doesn't want to go? Is it one swap on my band for up to 3 people, or do they put it on each band individually? If individual, would they put it on my band (which DH would use for a second ride) and DS12 if he isn't riding the first time? And will there be a problem (beyond awkwardness) given I'll be noticeably pregnant?

Sounds a little iffy, but if there's a way to do it without rearranging all the other FP plans, that'd be ideal. I recall TOT rider swap being somehow tougher in past years, but don't remember details at this point, except one super-nice CM who ended up hooking us up somehow.

Generally with a child who is tall enough but doesn't wish to ride, rider swap will be performed at boarding. Everyone would enter the queue together (and if using FP, everyone, including any non-riders would need a FP), and the swap would be performed at the loading area. They typically do not give the rider swap on magic bands with a child tall enough to ride since they are tall enough to enter the queue and do the swap at boarding. I would not count on rider swap being beneficial to you.

If there are any rides the 5 yo is NOT tall enough for and you want to use Rider swap, it would need to be added to the magic band of each person riding in the second group. If you are obviously pregnant, they may be hesitant to give you a rider swap on certain rides, but it probably depends on the CM.

He told us all to enter the line together and the swap would happen at loading. DD was as scared of the queue as she was of the ride so we just each used our FP one at a time while the other waited outside with her.

Thanks, we're already set to do RNRC at rope drop, then have kind of a tight timeline after that. I'll keep this in mind as a possibility though.

I wonder if this is what we ran into in the past, too? My older son never wanted to ride (until now), and I recall long waits with him outside and getting coffee there.

The pregnancy guidelines are suggests, I don't think any CM would tell a pregnant lady they couldn't ride or get a RS. Of course that doesn't mean a pregnant lady should ignore the suggestion.

I know it's tempting to try to use rider swap to get an extra fast pass for your 12-year-old, but I'd suggest finding another way. Rider Swap shouldn't be used just for the procurement of extra past passes.

I'm always worried someone will think I am pregnant by Day 4 of shoveling in fries (etc) at WDW.

This. You don't nee rider swap, so please don't abuse the system. That kind of thing is what makes Disney crack down on stuff, making everyone have a harder time.
