Am headed down in 61 days and trying to formulate a FP+ plan for the group. There are two families totalling 8. 4 parents, 1 teenager, 1 9 yr old, 1 3 year old (39") and an infant. Both toddler and infant are from same family. Will the rides that have Rider Swap allow for two parents to stay back to watch both little ones or will they only allow 1 Swap making the parent pull double duty?

The swap pass is good for 3 riders (the adult who stays behind plus two) so they could use 1 swap pass and go together (while the other adults then watch the little ones).

Could we theoretically split the parties up so that that one family goes with the 3 year old to Space Mtn and gets a Swap and then the other family shows up right afterwards with the infant to obtain another Swap pass?

Unless you were trying to get 2 swap passes (and have 6 people ride on the second time)?. If that’s the case you’d have to break your group into two as I don’t think you can obtain 2 swap passes for the same group of initial riders.

The pass is per family (not per non rider) and is good for up to 3 people to return to ride later via the FP line so at least 2 others could stay behind with the parent to help and still ride later.

If you tried approaching separately with each child the CM will give out a lanyard to be swapped for the paper pass as your entering the line so you would end up with two lanyards for a single party of 4 riding first. I don't think the CM will issue 2 rider swap passes for a party of 4 even if you have 2 lanyards.

Both parents can ride on the one swap pass. It allows 3 people to return through the FP queue.

Theoretically, I believe the answer is yes. However, if you are seen talking together, acting as one family, etc. I can foresee a cast member denying the use of the switches. So if you do it, be careful!

Nothing to worry about. We talked last night and have no intention of trying...too much work for not a lot of benefit.

HI new to the Child Swapping my kids were bigger when they traveled .. we are a party of 11 , 8 adults and 3 under 3.. party #1 is Gramp & Gramp to the 3 littles, #2 is Mom Dad twins, #3 is Mom Dad single, and #4 Aunt & Uncle .. I am the Aunt and in charge of making FP .. So lets say we are going on Big Thunder, I should make FP for all 8 of us or just for 4 of us - knowing that we will get 2 passes for 6 people on the Child Swap? Thank you!

There are a lot of ways you can plan this depending on what you're planning on doing with the 3 year old who sounds like might be tall enough for some rides (you didn't say whether 39 was with or without shoes and the 40" mark is a huge one).

For rides where the 3 year old will NOT ride - what you can do is get FP for everyone but the two adults staying back and the 3 year old. They get a FP for another ride (ideally close by) that the 3 year old can ride while the other group rides the big ride (for example, 4 people get FoP FP, 3 get Na'vi for same time). The 4 people at FoP ride and get a swap pass. The other 4 ride Navi with their FP. When done the 2 adults plus one other get to ride FoP using the swap pass. This method cuts down on the amount of time that the three year old has to wait around for multiple sets of adults to ride and lets them get the benefit of their FP. It's not terribly complicated, everyone uses exactly one of their FP, and the only thing you have to is split the party in two for one of the FP slots.
