Rider Swap at Park Close

Does anyone have experience with rider swap just before park close? Specifically, if I show up at FoP 5 minutes before park close and wait in the standby line, can I do rider swap even though the second group will be entering the line after the park is closed?

No. The return time you would get for the second group expires at park close.

No. They will cut the line off at park close so the second group would not be able to 3enter the line.

I don't see an exact answer to that however party 2 cannot enter the LL until party 1 has gone on the attraction since party 2 is waiting with the person that cannot ride...
I'm guessing that when you ask for rider switch the CM would likely give you a return time of however long the wait time is -15 minutes which is about what they do for DAS.
Either way its not going to make a difference since again party 2 cannot go until party 1 has come to relieve them.

We got to FoP with 50 minutes before park close and it was a 60 minute wait. I asked a cast members at the front if there was any chance we would have time to get through it and a rider swap get through. She said no because it really was a 60 minute wait. So we were deciding who wouldn’t ride and she was so sweet and let the first group go through the fastpass lane and then the second group when we were done. Even in the fastpass lane (back in June when hardly anyone got to use it), it took us 45 minutes to get through the ride, so our second group only had 5 minutes to jump in line. I left a cast compliment for Stephanie because she went above and beyond for us! She said she had littles and understood. I never expected her to do this for us, but I don’t see how they could with only 5 minutes left.

The posted wait of the line unless you have an ILL$. Then it’s immediately useable. Riders Swap is really just a DAS return time for your reriding guest and your nonriding guest.

There doesn't have to be a "re-riding" guest, just someone who has waited with the guest who is too small to ride the attraction. 3 people could wait for the rider swap return time. Scenario: Mom and Dad could go on, while Gramma and Grampa wait with the baby. Then Gramma and Grandpa could go on. Depending on how the seating is done on the attraction, we've balanced the group going first so that no one sits alone if possible. Some rides seat 2, some 3, etc.

we just got back on sat, the rides close at the time the park closes and if you arrive even 1 min late they just shrug their shouldiers and say sorry. Happened to us a couple f times, took 20 extra seconds to switch and arrived just after 11 at mk for mine train and just said sorry its closed and walked away, this was last friday night.
