I am helping a friend book an upcoming trip and they will need to use Rider Swap for Tron as their son is not quite tall enough.

Then intend to purchase LLSP for the 2 adults and 1 child who is tall enough.

The question is, if the older child uses her LLSP to ride with adult 1, can she ride a second time with the second adult, using rider swap? I'm guessing the answer is 'no' but wanted to ask if anyone has tried this.

TIA!

I don't know what the official Disney answer is, but in my direct experience my son rides twice whenever we rider swap. Once with each parent while one parent waits with my daughter.

shhhh and sometimes 3 times as a single rider if I buy her a LL and they swap bands. LOL. hey they are getting my money! It's not really cheating?

Yes you can. I've never successfully done it on LLSPs because my tall enough kiddo hated rides and usually bailed after the first ride through...

In May, we had three adults, one not-quite-tall-enough-for-TRON kid, and one toddler who didn't need a park ticket. We bought four LLSP for TRON and used rider swap to have five total rides for the people who were tall enough for the ride.

The rides were assigned to each of our physical tickets so we simply had to keep track of which card had two rides on it. Likewise for the other LLSP attractions.

How does the rider swap work? Do you just ask the CM as you're getting on the ride that you want to do it? How do you do the swap exactly?

If the child is too short to ride they aren’t even allowed in the queue. Your full party will approach the CM at the entrance and request a Rider Swap. The first party will enter the queue and ride while 1 adult waits outside with the too short child (they can do another ride, get a snack, shop, etc.). Once the first party is done, meet up and the waiting adult plus 1 other can then enter the LL to ride.

If your non-rider is tall enough but just doesn’t want to ride, the swap may be handled differently. Ask at the attraction.

Woah, that's awesome! Thanks for explaining, I have a 2yr old that can't ride most rides yet so this is going to be a game changer for us.

I totally remember being told that this is a thing when we were parent swapping at Cosmic Rewind (because of our toddler). I haven't been able to think of a reason why the height of a non-rider matters, though. I'm probably missing something super obvious but I'm drawing a blank right now lol. 🤷‍♂️

Because for an attraction with a height requirement, a too-short child will not even be allowed into the queue. If there is no height requirement or the child is tall enough, they can go through the queue and swap at/near loading or just exit without riding.

Thanks! Very interesting regarding the queue policy, I feel like I have even more questions now lol.

I'm sure exceptions are made at times because I distinctly remember seeing two adults (I assume a mom and dad) with a baby and even a stroller in one of the first pre-show rooms for Cosmic Rewind.

I suppose my real question should have been "why does height matter for waiting in a queue?" :D

At the end of the day I guess it doesn't make a lot of sense to me that I could theoretically wait near the loading area with, say, my 5 year old nephew, but I can't wait there with my 2 year old.
