RideMax Users Thread (FAQs Linked in First Post!)

when will March come out. I would really like to get started but I understand that it is more accurate to wait.:surfweb: We are going during a very busy time and I am a planner.:thumbsup2 Thanks

I have used RideMax before but I am between subscriptions and I promised myself I would not buy a new subscription until I could play around with my actual dates in March.

I don't know if I will hold out or not. I love playing with RideMax even when I don't have a trip planned. :confused3

Heads UP!!!

Disney just added/changed some Spectro and Fantasmics for Feb. Spectro is no longer on Feb.3. It moved to the 4th and they added one on the 7th. They also added a second F! at 8:30 on most F! nights. Some park hours were changed/extended as well.
It also looks like they've extended DHS to 8:30 on 1/31 and 2/4, with a second 8:30 F! on 1/31 as well.

We checkin on 1/31. I was going to run our Ride Max plans tomorrow on 1/24 using this week as a guide. Any idea if these changes will change RM recommended parks for 1/31 - 2/5? We don't plan to go to DHS till 2/5, but we did plan MK for 2/3 (it was a Spectro night, now it isn't). I assume we should experience less waiting on 2/3 as a result of the change? We can miss Spectro since we're planning to see it on 2/1.

Thanks for pointing out the changes. There are also several changes for our February week at MK & DHS but nothing that will affect our plans.

When Ridemax gives you 2 1/2+ hours free time, what do you do? I've tried to fill in with other attractions but this is MK so there aren't many shows for filler. Would you leave and return in the pm for the rest of your fastpasses? Just give away the fastpasses on the way out of the park, etc.?

I wish there was some place to enter that you are a solo traveler. Dh is in a conference during the day and I plan to hit the biggies as he hates coasters anyway and I hope even though it will be the week before Easter and crowded that since I'll be solo, I can breeze thru some things quickly. Opinions are always welcome, lol.

Did you include a leisurely lunch in your plan?

I did not because I'm alone. The break it gave me was 2:30-5pm until one of my fastpasses will become active. If the schedule holds accurate, I'll likely just return to the hotel for a nap or swim and not use the FP.

You might try running an option where you leave the park at 5pm. It could totally rearrange your FP's. Do you have Jungle Cruise, CoP and TTA in your schedule? They take some time. Don't rule out a nice lunch because you're alone. There are tons of solo Disers who do it all the time, me included :goodvibes

Any idea how long of a break to schedule for Ariel's Grotto midday or late morning? Thanks!

Sorry to say I haven't read the entire thread,so sorry if asking a duplicate question.
Anyways, does Ridemax have an option for the GAD FP and it will work those FP's into the schedule?
Another question, anyone put the Jedi training into their plan since the WDW changed Jedi into waiting in line instead of being picked from the crowd. If so, did it work well or did you have to wait for the next show?

AFAIK there is no option for GAD that I have found. I would love to hear answers for you for how to work it in. As I understand it, they work the same as the WWYC birthday FPs from last year, so perhaps someone who used RM in 2009 can tell us what they did.
What I considered doing was gathering the GAD FP's as it was convenient. Still using the regular FP strategy that is suggested by RM. Then we will have multiple FPs at one time and could use whatever is convenient during our breaks. Haven't really thought this through yet.

I would also like to hear about strategies for how long of a break to put into RM for Ariel's Grotto.

Hi,

What time and how long do you schedule a break for Ariel's grotto if you hit it right when it opens?

Our trip is March 20-27 so I assume it will open at 10? So I was thinking a break from 9:45 to 10:15? Does that sound right?

Thanks,
Sydnerella's Mama

since i have actually spent the time to read this entire thread and dont remember my question above being answered before I am bumping myself... if I am mistaken, please direct me to the page or post number?

thanks!

I have never done the grotto before but didn't want you to feel totaly unread. I would think if it opens up at 10 I would give myself more time than less. Most of ridemax if your ahead of scheduel it's ok unless they ride to be at is in bold font.

I would plan for 45 - 60 mins if this is a must see. Then plan to be there waiting in line 20 -30mins early and givng 20 -30 mins for the meet and greet. Hope that helps some. ;)
