I am going to DL for the 1st time in 21 years and I am taking my DS for his 1st visit and for his b-day in 15 days :cool1: and RideMax will not let me make a plan for my whole visit, it will only let me plan the first 3 days, ugh, this is annoying. I feel like I wasted 15 bucks!!! Did I get ripped off or will it be okay??? Am I sweating the small stuff, I hate when I do that...

It took them forever to release October dates, too. And, they never have Sundays...you need to use a Saturday to plan for Sunday.

When I was planning my trip, I just used the closest available date with the day of the week I wanted to plan for. I would think that they will have November up pretty soon. And, honestly, I didn't see a ton of difference between the weeks I was using.

I think it will be fine.

I've never planned a trip to Disneyland. We always have a great time and go on everything we want. You've already got 3-of your days planned? I think you'll be just fine. Think back to the days when you went to Disneyland without RideMax. Remember those? You still had a great time, right? Right. :)

Well, they are dependent on Disneyland releasing the dates on their calendar and then they have to compile their data based on history. Disneyland has been lagging lately, I mean they barely have past 40 days right now. Crazy.

Anyway, I hope the data is available soon. And Ridemax has a money back guarantee, so I wouldn't worry about it.

Ridemax saved me a lot of time in line when I first started touring DL, I hope it works for you as well. :goodvibes

Is it going to be busy at that time? If not, then don't worry about it, if so just remember a few things:

1) Make a list of what rides offer Fast Pass and Single Rider for both Parks.
2) Always get a Star Tours Fast Pass first thing after rope drop in DL. (That way next fp time is only 45 minutes away.)
3) Use Single Rider, you both will either get on the same car, log, etc. anyways or be right behind each other
4) Always get a new FP as soon as you can if you are in an area that offers it for a ride unless it is a ride that has single rider, like Indiana Jones. Don't waste a FP on rides that offer SR when you can get on in 5-10 minutes by using SR.

Me and brother went in late August and never stood in a line longer than 15 minutes and rode everything. Rode all the big rides numerous times. Walked on Haunted Mansion, Blasters, Pirates (until crowds arrived after 10am), and smaller rides.

I paid for "touringplans" but it wasn't worth the money, I never used it. All the info I needed for a great trip was found on here through fastpass guide use and more.

I am sure you will have a great time regardless.

Have fun!!

Thank you all for you kind words. I think I was having a moment, and I just think I thought ridemax would be more helpful, and not so basic and plain.... I hope it all falls into place when I get there... YaY only 14 days

I felt the same way using it for WDW.

Thanks for the great tips LittleToni and MrsJackSparrow4Life thanks I will go check it out now... :) and only 13 days :cool1:

Seriously!!!! RideMax is making me angry, why in the world would I take a 8 hours for free time, one min. they say I have to many things the next they say I have 8 hours of free time!!! I should of bought a overpriced balloon at DL instead of RideMax, I would be happier... :headache: I think I learned enough on here that I can make my own plan....

Money back time me thinks :) Here is my quick plan for you :)

- Get to DL gates 30-45 minutes before opening, and then rope drop once you walk down Main street, Stay to the right for Tomorrowland.
- ST FP (age of son? if old enough, get in line for ST, but not enter until you come back with FP's) Don't use FP's, just go in. (Now you have ST FP's for later and will ride it once already)
- If you do not ride ST, then after getting ST FP's go ride SM.
- Ride Blasters (a fast walk on)
- Check next FP time at bottom of FP Ticket. If close, get another ST FP. If not close, wait and get a ST FP (lol)
- Head on over to Indy and depending on the wait time, use SR. You will be on in 5-10 minutes.
- Since Pirates is closed, go walk on HM
- Be courageous and go walk right on Poohbear :) why not! hehe
- Check your next FP time. Maybe you can go ride ST with first of 2 FP you have for it. If not...
- Go ride Indy again hehe or go ride Big Thunder, then go ride ST with first FP. Make sure to grab another FP when you can :)

(- Throw in a Matterhorn ride too if you want, it was closed when we were there) Do all these things in the morning hours before the crowds arrive :)

There you go :) Now you should have rode ST, SM, INDY, HM, POOH, BTM, and another ST, maybe Matterhorn, then FP SM since ST FP time will cause you to have to wait 2 hours for next FP or get a ST FP if you decide to slow it down. Just remember that you can use a FP ANYTIME AFTER the first time it says you can use it as long as it is the same day. So don't fret about getting back to the ride you have a FP for between the times it says to return. We had FP's saved up to use in the afternoon when the crowds were heavier. Worked out well :)

Maybe now would be a good time to head over to DCA and grab FP for Soarin, then go ride TOT. then go to bugs life , then SR Screamin, then go take a lunch break :)

Have fun!!! lol

I am sorry it isn't working out for you. If you have adjusted all the variables (runner or no runner, late FP return or not, breaks, etc) and it still isn't something you feel is valuable, I would ask for a refund.

However, if you haven't really played around with it, I would add and subtract rides until it looked like a workable plan. It does give you a large chunk of free time so you can work in lunch or dinner, shows, and maybe a nap. After running around all morning, that break will come in handy!

I am not sure of your goals, but depending on what day you are looking at, Space can become quite crowded right after opening once everyone gets their ST FP. Additionally, the Haunted Mansion is in holiday mode and is not a walk on on busy days. You may want to get a FP instead of doing stand by.

Much better to grab a ST FP and then book it out of Tomorrowland if it is a busy day. Especially if anything in Fantasyland (including the Matterhorn) is a priority for you.

But it really does depend on how busy it is that day and if there was Magic Morning or not, etc. I hope you are able to make it work, but if not, don't be afraid to ask for a refund. :goodvibes

That was my issue too.

Don't forget--the Big Thunder Mountain Fastpass is now disconnected. That means you can hold a BTMRR Fastpass at any time without the time/wait restrictions of the other Fastpasses. Roger Rabbit's Car Toon Spin is also disconnected.

I would get your money back and get your advice here....

First how many days in total do you have and are there specific areas you want to concentrate on...

The best advice:

1. Get to the gates early
2. Get FPs straight away even though you don't need them early, you can use them later even though they have supposedly expired
3. Stay within walking distance of the gates so you can come out for a rest and lunch around 1pm to 4pm when the park is at its craziest, this allows you to go back and go through to park closing

We've used Ridemax but generally follow only the morning portion doing MM rides during MM and keeping them out of the plans.

So Star Tours is that great? DH won't know what to do with himself by running to Tomorrowland before grabbing Indy FP.

I use Ridemax mainly in the morning now as well. I can usually make my plans on the fly in the afternoon, but ridemax keeps me on track during the morning when getting FPs in the correct order is very important.

And Star Tours is amazing. I love that ride! But yes, it is a change from the usual routine. I found myself almost forgetting at rope drop to go to ST first instead of PP! :rotfl:

Yes! Star Tours is so awesome :) The reason to get ST FP first thing is because if you wait an hour or 2 the next FP time will be at, or getting close to, the maximum of 2 hours because it is so popular. This inhibits your ability to get FP's as the day goes on. If you get an ST FP right away, the next FP time is only 45 minutes away. A big difference that keeps you ahead of the game :)

Did I mention that Star Tours is awesome? :)

Go get a ST FP right away! All I can say :)

ps: Indy is a Single Rider ride. Never waste a FP on a ride you can use SR for and be on in 5-10 minutes. That's my rule anyways :)

Have fun!

Single Rider is a great idea if you don't mind not being able to ride with your party. Sometimes my friends and I will Single Rider, but mostly we use FP because part of the experience is riding together. I think it might be hard for those with younger children to feel comfortable doing SR.

OP, I hope you have a great trip! :goodvibes

I totally agree. I would never do Indy as a single rider right now. I love riding all together.
