RideMax CA Adventure Trouble

Sorry to butt in--are the Soarin and River Rapids FPs NOT connected? You can get both at the same time?
Thanks!

The rapids are disconnected from the FP network (as is Roger Rabbit in DL) so you can get fast passes for these rides at the same time as other pastpasses.

Well we leave tomorrow and I gave up on strategizing for California Adventure. I have Disneyland worked out great but after fiddling around with ridemax for the past few days and trying to account for shows, etc. I just decided to take the advice of some of the posters on this board and "wing it" at CA. If we don't get a chance to do everything it will give us reason to go back later this year ;)

Thanks for the advice!

If you hate heights, you might want to reconsider Soarin'. I don't think of it as scary at all, but you are lifted pretty high up during the film. Just something to think about before you get on.

Oh no, no, no. Everyone should try soarin!

I don't like heights. The Sunwheel is the most terrifying ride to me. But Soarin is different. You're not looking down, you're looking ahead at a screen. As long as you sit back in your seat like you're supposed to, I think anyone could ride soaring.

I'm sorry, that just struck me as funny. :)

Soarin' is no problem....just be sure to stuff your mickey ears in the basket below your feet. :thumbsup2

SunDevilDaddy, let us know how DCA & EE went. I bet your brain is about to explode now with all this inside info from the "internets".

I agree that it's funny, but I'd hate for someone who's scared of all heights to freak out mid-ride. I have a friend who is terrified of heights and roller coasters. She's taught herself to enjoy space mountain (she screams like crazy the entire time - it's hilarious!), but she can't handle Soarin' at all. I don't think most people would have a problem with it, but it's better to know in advance how the ride works. If you think you can handle it, it's definitely not a ride to be missed.

:)

If you told Mrs. Hound that something is scary/high/loud, and said "something to think about"....:rolleyes1

...She'd be thinking about it on the plane, while we're eating a dole whip, when she's buying a t shirt, while Puddy is giving instructions .... :scared:

We will do bugs life and go see if rt wants to ride any the bugs life park..if not we will figuer out how to do sorring. (we will have had fast passes) I hope my son can go and will be ok.. im worried of him falling forward..

we probley will do most this befor we go back to hotel, or just return for fast passes and then head to dl..i wouldnt desnate any day for dl or ca i would hop back and forht.

personally, my kids played for hours in the brother bear play area. they loved the rope bridges, rock wall, etc and thought it was more fun than the rides. we had just popped over for a quick break, discovered the area, and spent two there alone, instead of 2 hrs in DCA all together. going back there and the new pirate island is what they are most excited about for our Dec. trip.

I'll be sure to give my trip report when we get back. And regarding soarin, I'm not worried about that... I ride the roller coasters, etc and it doesn't bother me... what bothers me is being lifted 100's of ft in the air and left sitting there or worse yet... dropped (no sunwheel, no ToT) Otherwise I'm good.:cool2:
