My son has heard that you can make up your own remote control car and wants to do this but do the cars work in the uk, how would you charge them here?

If someone brought one back to the uk are they heavy (Worried about the baggage allowence.

We called in to look at this (old Virgin Megastore) last month. Only a very quick look as none of us are interested in cars. People were spending $100's, saw a couple go thru tills one was $176 other was over $200 but no idea what they bought so no help to you really:rotfl:
They have a website, maybe you can build something on there to get a rough idea. www.ridemakerz.com

We looked in here last month too, as DS12 was desperate to do it, and pestering us about it constantly.

Since you pick each individual piece of the car separately, we walked round, and took an average price for each bit. We worked out that he'd be spending around £80-£100 on an RC car! They are also quite large, and we wouldn't have space to pack it to take it home, and we also weren't sure about how to charge it up back home.

His answer was a resounding "NO, you can't". :sad1:
