Can anyone give me a little info on the ride turnstyles? I know that WDW replaced many of theirs with the electronic version but has Disneyland?

The reason I'm asking is because I am pooh sized and short (a bad combo for turnstyles since the bulk of my weight hits straight on the arms of the turnstyle).

At WDW I can fit through all of the fantasyland ones but, I'll admit, I tend to avoid the haunted mansion because I am *terrified* of getting stuck in it.

Thanks.

I'm pooh sized and short too - 5'1" and last trip I was about 245lbs (shhhh don't tell anyone!)

I made it through all the turnstyles, although some I had to manuever slightly sideways through.

Fortunately, the experience got me in the right mind to make some changes and I'll be a bit smaller for our next trip!

I sure hope they got rid of the turnstiles. My Daughter, when she was about 6 or 7, got her elbow caught in the turnstile at the Alice and Wonderland ride. The CM setting guests on the ride wanted to just push the turn stile "thing" around to get her elbow out. I said No way. But, the cm decided to push the turnstile around and low and behold my daughter's elbow was freed. This was one time the CM knew more then the mom. The funny thing is she said it happens a lot on that ride.

My sister and I are both Pooh-sized and short as well.;) The only turnstyles that are a bit tight are the one's for the rides in Fantasyland, we just tip-toe and do the side-ways thing. Other than that, you'll do fine.:thumbsup2 We've found that DL is pretty size friendly.

I concur, it would be great if they got rid of the turnstiles. At WDW the CMs, trying to be nice, would turn them for our DD and they ALWAYS turn faster than she moves so she was constantly getting hit in the back of the head.:sad2:

I am POOH+ sized.

The hardest turnstile for me is the Jungle Boat.

I am not plus size, but the Jungle one is always hard for me cuz I always have my son. It's just not friendly to anyone. And Peter Pan's was tight too when I was holding him...

I don't believe that there's a turnstile at the HM in DL, so you can ride as you please.

LOL :lmao: i'm having a blond moment i dont even remember the turn stiles :rotfl: :rotfl2: i think its time for bed lol

Yes, that is really the only ones my wife and I have issues with and we are super pooh sized. Fantasyland is a bit of a pinch for us, but not as bad as jungle cruise.

I've also noticed that new orleans square railroad has a tight turnstile. Toon town's railroad turnstile probably has the most space of any of the rides.

Haunted mansion has never been a problem for us. I wish they would all get upgraded. I have to admit, we haven't been on any FL rides for a while because my wife actually bruised her leg last time we went on pinocchio!
