Ride Switcher Questions

We have never used this before. I am pregnant and visiting soon with my husband and our 4 year old twins. I won't be able to go on some rides. Will my husband be able to take turns taking each of them on a ride while I wait with the other one? I know it's usually used so adults can go on rides that kids may be afraid of or too small for.

Also I got all four of us FP+ for rides like 7Dwarfs and Big Thunder. Was it necessary for all four of us to have a FP+ if planning on using the ride switcher or could I have booked different passes for some of us? Does that make sense? TIA!!

Your husband can use your FP for Ride #2 with Kid #2.

The only time you can split up your FPs is if the kids aren't tall enough to ride the ride and one adult needs to sit out with them.

If I am reading this second part correctly, then yes. If your family wants to go on Say, BTMRR with their FP, but you want to use your FP for a different ride, you can. When selecting FP, you get to choose which members of your family get each FP: all or just some of you. You can also go back and modify the FP you chose for you, while the rest of the family keeps the FP you picked for them.

They won't give youa switch FP because you are pregnant.

Ok, thanks! That was what I was wondering. It's worth it to ask I guess, but if not my husband and I can just switch bands so he can take each one on the ride. It would be nice if it helped people in our situation too, so I hope so.

If you need to change your FP, you can. Just be careful where you click. If you look to change, then decide to keep what you have, back out of the windows. (If Roget what the wording is, but if you are not careful you can end up discarding your current FP.)

You can also modify the times.

If you have a child too short to ride, then you can then you can request a rider swap pass. The idea of the pas is that the baby sitter also gets to ride afterest of your family gets off

When the other adult returns, they can supervise the non-riding Guests, and the waiting adult can board the attraction without having to wait in the regular line again!

Thanks! There's been a lot of discussion as to how accurate the excerpt is when actually at a FP entrance.

Have you ever tried asking for a Swap pass based on an adult who cannot/chooses not to ride? Asking as it would be good info for booking and splitting FPs.

I have not personally done so, but unfortunately I have heard of people who did and encountered difficulty. Difficulty to the point of bringing up the website in their app to show the ride host.

Thanks! The link does work and that should help the OP - especially if one of the kids doesn't want to be seated alone for some of the rides.

I always interpreted this as if the person sitting out cannot be left alone, you can use the rider swap to give the caregiver left behind a chance to ride. I would think a pregnant woman would be capable of sitting alone so, as a rule, not eligible for rider swap (again,m just MY interpretation).

In this case, if a ride seat holds three, I would expect the husband to ride with both children and leave Mom to sit by herself. If the ride seat only holds two, then, yes, a rider swap should be warranted.

BTW, we just used rider swap for the first time so that someone could sit with my wheelchair bound mother (could not be left alone) and then also have a chance to ride. This was at FEA and we had no problem at all.
