Ride Swap?

If we get the ride swap do we need to use it right away? For example if my DH takes the boys on a ride that DD is too short for, can I go and do something with her and then ride later in the day or even the next day? Or do I have to wait around and ride right away? One of our FP is kind of close to an ADR, and if we need to ride back to back, we will be cutting it close.
