What are the lines like in September for rides do I need to worry about get fastpass or will it be ok to just chance it on day. If I needed do fastpass better get husband sat down to plan rides as we coming up to 30 days when we can book.

If you look on touringplans.com you'll see that the crowd levels of the park vary through the month as there are some special events such as the food and wine festival so it depends when you're going.

Also crowds tend to be lower at parks that haven't had their early entry in the morning or late opening in the afternoon so try to avoid those days.

I'm going the 2nd week of Sept so I have booked some fastpasses but mainly for the afternoons when I know the parks will have filled up. But there's only a few things even then that have a wait of more than 20 mins such as Toy Story Mania at DHS. Also I'm an early riser so I'll be there before rope drop so hopefully I should be able to get quite a few rides done before the parks get busy. However if you're thinking of having a more relaxing time and a few late starts then I would suggest getting them just in case. Plus you can get more when you get to the park if you find it is busier than expected.

Hope that helps!

We be there at rope drop, husband doesn't sleep a lot even on holiday. Think me and husband need seat down and have a planning ride day, we planned want days we going to want park and booked places to eat. As am not a big ride rider he need to plan which ones he really wants to do.

No downside to booking fastpass for the big rides. If You change plans or are unsure even then you can changes them quickly and easily.

i suppose it depends when you go in september. we went early september when the schools had just gone back and we didnt queue for anything. it was walk on most rides. i loved that time of year and as soon as youngest dd is out of the school system thats when i'll be holidaying from then on.

it was a whole different Disney experience

We went late Sept into early Oct last year and felt the crowds were quiet - moderate. MK was busy one day, but that was a Friday and its MK after all! Otherwise we pretty much walked on most rides, but did use the old FP system for the headliner rides.

We be at disney 9th sept-19th sept plus maybe couple more days early October we decided that we fastpass the first day at mk on the ride I want to do with nick only big name ones then couple at hs that nick wants to do the big ones then just play everything by ear when we there and book fastpass if we need to while we there on iphone.

I'd plan/book them because there's no harm in taking the time to do that, we've often been at Disney 1st week of September and I think it's pretty quiet. I remember one morning in Epcot literally not seeing any other guests walking through World Showcase from BC.

We went last September just before food and wine started and the most we qued in the two weeks was an hour for splash mountain.
