Ride Chicken

You only live once......and a ride only lasts 2-5 minutes. Might as well get on. I have a rule to get on the ride......in theme parks and life in general. Nothing good ever comes from fear.
 
Seems like you will be fine if you are willing to face your fears! Focus on noticing the way that the Imagineers create the build-up of suspense through the queue. That might distract you through the line at least. Good luck! Your child will be soooo impressed!
 
it's ok. i don't like big rides, but my mom would always let me go by myself on the spinny rides(she gets motion sickness), and if you son is 11, he should be perfectly fine if you just wait by the exit
