Ride chicken looking for advice on rides

I guess I'm a major ride chicken. I hated space mountain.. cursed the whole way down. My ex husband got me on that ride. . Never again! He also got me on BTM ..I don't remember it being as bad as SM but i didn't ride it again.
I am hoping to try SDD and 7DMT next trip though. Being able to see what's in front of you is a major advantage. I'm am all for trying once and I know I never have to do it again if I don't want to.
I truly am a chicken and I have all of my fun on all the kiddie rides.

7DMT is nothing. The drop curves going down so its not an actual drop. I was freaking out going up the lift hill and my face looks terrified but its really mild.

My top 3 worst ones: Mission Space Orange, Space Mountain, Expedition Everest.

The only thing that bothers me with SDD is the height at the highest portion of the track. I just can't handle looking down. IT is a smooth ride with pretty controlled descents. The launch is fine. I do not ride it every trip though.

For the stomach drop feeling, Splash Mountain at Magic Kingdom and Expedition Everest at Animal Kingdom will be your worst, in my opinion. None of the other rides really give me that feeling or are really intense. Space Mountain is in the dark, but there aren't really big drops, just fast moving turns.

DITTO!

You should be FINE on Slinky and once Primeval Whirl is up and going that too. And Barnstormer too!

I’m a ride chicken but I have done BTM, Space and Splash. I will not do RNRC or TOT. The last time I was in Disney SDD, SDMT and EE were not in the parks. The only one of those I’m unsure of is EE. If you sit in the front cars it does help as you are already further down the hill and go slower until the entire ride vehicle is up on the hill.

also Splash is such a cute ride that it is worth the drop at the end. Just close your eyes and hold on tight!

I'm another one who hates stomach drops and I have no problem with RNRC, Space Mountain, BTMRR, SDMT, or SDD. The Slinky "launch" is brief and not as bad as RNRC, which like I said I also don't think is that bad. TOT I used to ride and had no problem with but stopped riding it after a CM told me that the drops are random and it technically can drop all 13 stories. Nope, won't chance it. Splash I would never do and I just haven't yet tried EE yet.

I am a ride chicken. I hate the stomach drop feeling. I went to Disneyland and rode on the cars ride, BTM, and Pirates. Ive been to Disney world and rode on 7 dwarfs, and BTM. I had no issue with BTM. I loved it. 7 dwarfs on the big clime I was freaking out thinking it would be a straight drop. Luckily it was a curved drop so it was fine. I want to try some new ride. Does anyone have any advice on rides? I was considering )if I can be brave enough lol) trying space mountain and Slinky coaster. We will be going to the Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom for a day each. Thanks!
You do SM you can handle the rest. Terrified? It only goes 28 mph.

I HATED FOP in Avatar. I spent the entire ride, from the first seconds drop on, praying I would not vomit. NEVER AGAIN.

My advice....just get on. I was a lot like the OP, scared of anything with a drop. See my post about Chicken Exits from fall of 2017. I think it started off my first visit to WDW when I was 8. Had no idea Pirates dropped, and in the dark. I was scared of every new ride since then wondering if it dropped. Even got nervous being suspended from the ceiling on Peter Pan. I've been to WDW a total of 8 times in my life. Time #8 I got up the courage to ride Splash. It was bad the first time. I was breathing so hard I didn't even notice the end scene with the Rabbit tied up at the top. But, I rode it 9 more times that trip and every single time was better. I even surprised myself (and my family) by riding Expedition Everest.

Fast forward to this year. My wife and son LOVE thrill rides. I decided I would finally try an upside down ride at Carowinds. Again, fear and heavy breathing going down that hill and approaching my first every loop. Since then, I've ridden every coaster at Carowinds, King's Island, Cedar Point, King's Dominion, and in a couple of months I'll have done them all at Six Flags Over Georgia. I'm 43 years old and had never ridden a real roller coaster. But when I started, realized they weren't so bad.

Now, I don't get the thrill and I rarely put my hands up like my wife and son, but I can pretty much tolerate them all. It all started with Splash. So, my advice is to just do it.
Do this. I'm not a 'ride chicken' and will do most anything out there. But at one point I was scared and just did it. The biggest thing to not worry is that it is over very fast. Splash is a really cool ride that you should experience. The drop is literally 3 seconds, quicker then getting a flu shot. RNR is only like 40 seconds long. You can deal with 40 seconds and it is fun to have the release of chemicals from your brain mess with you.
I would avoid TOT as my wife is not scared of anything like me, but she just flat out does not like that ride. Again, only about a minute long but the entire time you are going up and down, up and down.
Final advice, just try it if you want to go on them.

Since your main concern seems to be the big drops- in MK, I would avoid Splash Mountain- the last drop is pretty steep- the rest of the ride is really calm though. You've already been on BTMR and 7DMT so you know if you'll go back or not. I'd avoid Space Mountain too since it's dark and jerky. Barnstormer is a kiddie coaster so you should be fine on it.

In AK- I don't like EE but not because of the drops- the drops are not steep or long at all. I don't like it because of the backwards up part- feels like my head is going to explode and I don't like that feeling. Definitely try FOP - it's my favorite ride in all of WDW! It's just so much fun!! You should be fine on everything else in AK.

Update: I ended up riding FOP which was amazing. By the time we got to Hollywood we didnt have time for Slinky since it was a long wait. We did end up going back to AK for our final day to do FOP again.

I used to hate the stomach drop feeling as well. Someone once told me to employ a psychological trick to mentally lean into the drop, as if you're directing where the vehicle goes and you're trying to push your car to accelerate down the hill faster. It took me a little bit of time but now I really enjoy thrill rides. Expedition Everest is my favorite Disney coaster, whereas I used to hate the drop on even BTMRR. My mom even told me that I was upset as a kid at the drop on Pirates of the Caribbean! (In my defense, it was the Disneyland version.) I think the feeling that you're even slightly in control changes the feeling of the ride, as opposed to letting it do stuff to you. I don't know if I'm explaining it right, but it changed the way I experienced thrill rides entirely. It was well worth it!
I need to try that. I think I don’t enjoy roller coasters so much because I have trouble letting go of having control. If I trick myself into thinking I am in control, like I am driving a motorcycle, maybe I could enjoy them more.
