RIddle me this!

Good morning everyone?
Anyone miss me???

Well, we're past hump day...the end is in sight. The kiddos are behaving remarkably well....even in the monsoon yesterday--I don't do well in rain (and I'm going to wdw in Aug???)

Anyways, just had to make sure you were all well!

Have a great day!!!

Oh yeah, Race Weekend here in NH......if you're one of my newest 90,000 friends coming to town this weekend, be sure you wave on your way to the track!!!!!!

Stephanie!

Stephanie, I'll have to lend you one of my Mickey umbrellas! I'll have to remember to take the rain gear this time. We usually go at dry times of the year, so this will be different.

Good morning all. A bit of a late start in for me today... for once I got a lot of work done before checking in with you guys. So I am taking a small break to relax for a little while.

Diane, good luck with the bone scan. I hope your neck is feeling better soon. And good luck with the house!!!!

John, that stinks about the restrictions at work... you need to find ways around the firewall like I do ;)

Good morning Deb... big {HUGS} to you

Gail, sending TONS of good wishes your way!! I hope that Matt and his team does a great job tonight!

I am considering Lasik as well... my dry eye/allergy eye issue is getting so bad that I cannot put my contacts in and wear them like I used to.... and I still cannot stand wearing glasses even after having them since I was like 10 :(

Yay!!! I got a woo hoo!!!! It's felt like forever since I've seen one of those... off to do some work again. See you all later :)

Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain...

Good morning all! My WooHoo was here before I finished reading the thread! I love it when that happens!

{{{HUGS}}} for you for today Deb! We're all with you in our hearts!

Diane I hope you feel better soon. I hate to ask this, but have you been teted for West Nile Virus? With all the things you've had lately, I was just wondering. Good luck with the bone scan and with the house tomorrow.

Good luck to Matt and his team tonight!!!

Gina, I was ROTFLOL at Fred!

I've had progressive lenses for about 5 years now. I only got glasses a cople of years before that, but they were just for reading, and at work, they were never where I needed them, and I finally just went for the progressives, which I love! I'm one of those people who can't stand the thought of putting anything in my eyes too. *shudder*

The cakes are all baked and tomorrow is decorating day! I sure hope that nothing goes wrong!

Well, I hate to Woo Hoo and run, but work beckons!

Have a great day everyone!

I am....

Cool Graphic Bernie! :teeth:

I have worn soft contacts since my senior year in high school. I had gas permeables for about a year and was MISERABLE in them... so I went back to soft. I have been wearing extended wear contacts (I sleep in them too!) for almost 12 years now. I love them. I have HORRIBLE eyesight with a coke bottle correction on glasses.... so having the correction closer to my eye allows MUCH better depth perception. Not to mention I just plain hated to wear glasses.

 Good morning to everyone!

PM on the way. Hope the weather is as nice for others as it is here. Vacation starts Saturday. WOOOHOOO!!!!!!!!!! Niagara for a couple of days and then on to Stowe for 2 nights.

John

Morning all

Wore contacts like forever - until had to get bifocals - contacts with bifocals in them just don't work

Have a good one

One day closer to CP:D

Morngin Riddlers...

Hmmm ... five clues but just one of me ... and this one's stumped... LOL

I'll ponder as I get started this morning and go grab another
cup of coffee...

Bright and sunny here today in the NYC area ... wish I was outside ...

:D

Good morning, riddlers. It took me a couple of looks to get the riddle this morning.

I'll be thinking of you Deb. Hugs!

Good luck to Matt. I'll have my fingers crossed tonight, so let us know how the game goes.

Diane, hope your neck gets better. I hate driving with a stiff neck. I always feel like I can't see over my shoulder good enough. Be careful, and good luck with the bone scan. My dad used to wear his glasses around his neck. He was always losing them, too. I'd forgotten that. Thanks for the memory of a special man.

My brother used to call me Marian the librarian when we were growing up. I always had my nose in a book. I just love that movie. Maybe I can suggest it to the family tonight.

Glad to hear the cakes got baked. Let us know how the decorating goes.

Naked eyes for me. I'm 42, so I'll probably find out I need them one of these days. Don't think I'd like contacts. I have allergies and my eyes itch all the time. DH wears soft ones and he loves them. Lasik makes me nervous, E. If it goes well, it's great, but I've known several people who had complications. Do your homework if you decide to go that way.

I sent in my guess, so it's time to get up from the computer and get some work done. Talk to you guys later.

Today is a momentous day for me. My first real day of retirement (in my mind). I have nothing to do, no chores, no errands, nothing. It's too soon to pack for my vacation, the pool is clean, the water is balanced, so I think this is it!

I went to progressive lenses 2 years ago, and I love them. I did wear gas permeable contacts for a few years, but even then I had trouble because my eyes were so dry. And I never could put them in correctly. I used to have at least 7 or 8 pair of glasses all the time, I could change them to match my clothes. Now, I am down to one current perscription pair, and the old ones. DH got reading only a few years ago, he hated that, then 3 years ago he had to go to bifocals, which he really hated. This year I made him go to progressives, he loves them. And wears them most of the time. I don't kinow why men are so much more vain them women when it comes to glasses. MIL wears, and has for about 20 years, one distance and one reading contact. How she does it is beyond me, but it works for her. My DM wears executive trifocals, she should go to progressives for the same effect, but is way to frugal for them!

Looks like I missed a lot of news here, I will wish everyone well with what ever they have to do today. And yes, we do talk about a variety of things here, don't we?
