One thing about the kids congregating - and this really amazes me - is all the SMOKE!!! Cheesh - you'd think that kids would know better today!

That's not a problem around here. All indoor public places are non-smoking and they can't smoke within 50 feet of the entrance to the Mall of America. The problem here is that our stupid legislature just passed a conceal and carry law! Now they have to check for guns too!

I have a tiny rant before I go on. A co-worker just walked in and had to inform me that she had to stop along the side of the road to well "get sick" First why the heck did I need to know that this morning and if you had a stomach bug, wouldn't you stay home instead of risking infecting others I just don't get people!!!!! Rant over

Sandi, sounds like the storms we had hit you. Fortunately we are close enough to the city where they seem to kind of avoid us and we personally, don't usually get much damage. That stinks that your power was out for so long! I was busy yesterday and didn't even notice the weather was so bad in the area. It took a friend calling me from out of state and asking how things were since we had all kinds of warnings here yesterday

Good luck washing the dog, Steph. I only have cats and that can be so much fun I just put advantage on my kitties... not fun with big long haired babies!!!

Wow, I couldn't imagine all those rules for the malls. Then again I feel rather safe going to the ones I go to no matter what. So far (knock on wood) I haven't seen any trouble with gangs at the ones I go to.

Glad to see my pants are here... a few people came in early today and I hate that nekkie feelin' Off to work for a while (I think)

Morning everyone! PM sent. Kids are now done with school, so that should mean I can sleep in, right? Try telling that to the dog. Ariel was poking her nose at me at 5:30!

We had the severe storms roll through here in the evening, but luckily no storm damage or power outages. We were enjoying teaching the kids how to play Phase 10. Logan caught on very quickly. It is a great card game if anyone is looking for something new to play.

Gina, Phase 10 is a card game that you buy in the stores. I think it is made by the same company that makes Uno, so look for it on the rack near Uno. There is also a Phase 10 dice game, but I like the regular card game better. We like to play it a lot when we go to my in-laws cottage. We start when the kids are in bed, and sometimes play until 2 in the morning!

Good morning everyone! The only malls I see are in the tri-cities or Spokane when I take a road trip to go shopping. Usually I am there for the day and out by late afternoon - so I can drive home again. No idea if they have gang problems... but I would not be suprised - particularly at the Spokane malls (much bigger mall and much larger population).

I am heading off later this morning to go pick up my parents to take my mom for her heart surgery. I am looking at 8 hours of driving today. 5 1/2 hours to go to their place... then turn around and drive 2 1/2 hours back to Spokane where we stay the night. She is to be at the hospital by 7 am tomorrow. I will be gone for a few days as a result.
