Congrats on the win over the whining refs, OK!
Congrats on all the posts for Gail and Elaine too! I think I might have done that on the RMC thread too.

RAIN! We are supposed to get up to two inches in the next two days, and the weekend is supposed to be very wet too! Just another excuse for the roofers to make it through the whole week without showing up!

I have outdoor dog shows this weekend too, so I am bummed about the rain. It is also the fishing opener in Minnesota this weekend, so traffic will be awful heading up north to the dogshows!

Glad to hear Valerie's mom does not have an infection, but sure hope she gets well soon! Do they know why she is in the coma?

My DSM is in the hospital again too. She is getting so weak and frail. Dad is having a hard time with it.

I just learned yesterday that a dear friend has stage II breast cancer. She hasn't found out her treatment schedule yet.

I have a trip planning question for you all....

I'm looking for a good family restaurant to got to during our December trip. Katie will likely still be somewhat interested in the characters, but Erin and Matt will likely not be.

What's your favorite restaurant for a family meal at WDW? Maybe one where there are characters, but the food is really top notch?

Marsha, so glad you made the distiction of being the original Marsha! I hate that house selling process, but being a land baroness is only good if there is only one mortgage in the picture. How is the new house coming?

Diane, keep that rain away from Detroit, my airport of connection today. I always forget that it's not hot everywhere else when I travel, I have to make umbrella, poncho, and jacket top of the to pack list.

Valerie, great news so far, thanks for keeping the meister posted, We are all pulling for her.

Whispering Canyon is a fun family restaurant............no characters but still a good time!

I thought Liberty Tavern was a fun family restaurant with characters and the food was decent....we went with several Dissers and had a great time.. the characters were dressed in Colonial costumes and very cordial.... JMO

Sorry to hear about your Step-Mom, Diane - and your friend too. Prayers and good thoughts for the two of them.

From what I gather from Valerie - she's in a coma because of an infection. They were relieved that it wasn't from the rods and screws beacuse that would have meant more surgery.

The new house is being worked on as we speak...central AC being installed now... I am in packing mode here, overwhelmed and taking a break and hanging out on the riddle thread...

Marsha, you know I was kidding here... and I am so glad to see you spell it correctly We could be the Marsha twins... hey maybe we could show up at WDW and make Bernie sing with two Marshas at Karaoke in December... anyhow...thanks for the break everyone.. and hugs..

What's your favorite restaurant for a family meal at WDW? Maybe one where there are characters, but the food is really top notch?

For characters, we like either Garden Grill or 1900 Park Faire. The other restaurants we love are Teppanyaki Dinning rooms (Japan/Epcot), Akershus (Norway/Epcot), and O'Hana has some fun games for the kids like coconut races and hula hoop contests.

We've eaten at the Liberty Tree before - I really enjoyed it!

I've read that Whispering Canyon can be a HOOT!

Bernie - congratulations on your soccer team. What a satisfying defeat last night! Thanks for the update on Valerie's mom.

Diane - so sorry to hear about your friend.

Lorraine, Mom will have to talk to the pool guys? You're in trouble now!

Looks like we may have to switch to Plan B for Friday night's baseball game. Let's hope the rain stays away so we can go to the game. Not looking forward to entertaining Logan and a bunch of his friends at home that night!
