Were you able to visit Tiger Stadium before they stopped using it? Don't get me wrong, Comerica Park is a beautiful ball park & definately worth seeing, but I guess I'm sentimental about Tiger Stadium & I think I'll always miss it. They are making a lot of changes & improvements to downtown Detroit, the most recent being a Hard Rock Cafe scheduled to open by year's end.

The Tigers deserve to win once in awhile! As for the Twins, they are a bit dissappointing this year. We have not been to many games yet. We were out of town most of the first homestand, and the last one was over Holy Week, so we only got to one of those games. It is hard to believe the first month of the season is nearly over, and we have only been to 3 games! We have been able to sell our unused games so far though. Twins and KC got rained out last night.

Good morning!

Native New Englander checking in! I don't think lodging should be a problem for a Sox game, however getting tickets may be. Since Fenway is such a small park they do sell out.....and seats can also be quite expensive.

I have no clue on the riddle.....(some may say I have no clue on most things!)

They finally let my dad in for a few minutes last night around 11:30pm. He said my mom looks pretty rough, but she is moving her legs and arms. That is a good thing, one of the fears was taht she would come out paralized. He has not talked to the doctor, so we are not sure if they were able to remove all the tumors and put the rods in her spine and neck. thanks for al the support and prayers you have provided.

I never did see old Tiger Stadium. It seems suge a huge old ballpark!!! Years ago, our Triple-A club was the farm team for Detroit. We saw a lot of kids come through here who made it to the bigs!

So glad your mom came through all right, Mickey! Did she have spinal tumors? My DMIL had a tumor on her spine that caused paralysis a few years ago, and she is getting along great again now! She will be 90 this summer.

Our soccer team is off to rip-roaring start......we're 4-0 for the year and we've reached the halfway point of the season!

I missed this post! So are you going to be play off bound again?

Sorry it took me so long to say a GOOD MORNIN' to my riddle partners! I was distracted by some SILLY POLL I found on the boards......you wouldn't BELIEVE what some people will think of asking!

For some strange reason today's riddle just jumped out at me... these usually require 3 Advil and a carafe of coffee....so today's just my lucky day!

I'll be heading to Danbury again today for a team meeting..... won't be around to play , so I wish you all a great day!

Diane I am glad your DMIL is fine now!

My mom has a neurological disease that causes tumors to grow on the nerve endings. If you are familiar with it, it is neurofibramitosis.

Thank you Bernie, we are off in a few...The Soxs are never going to be in the running, no matter how much of a die hard fan I am You learn to get all excited and hopeful just to be let down, maybe that is part of the appeal.

Hey Gail! I checked online and saw tickets avaiable for the Anaheim weekend games and yes, they are expensive! But I figure it's worth it to see that old ballpark! We figured we'd drive in and then park the car so we could enjoy the game with a couple of hot dogs and beers! Sunshine, green grass, hot dogs, beer and baseball. Ahhhhhhhhhhhh..........

I think we are playoff bound, Diane! There is one other team undefeated right now - we play them next week! That game will go a ways to tell us how we're really doing!

Running a bit late this morning, so if anyone would like to throw a clue or two my way it would be great.
Bernie, I can help you with Fenway......my dorm room used to have a perfect view of the Citgo sign, and I lived in the Holiday Inn at Kenmore Square for a semester.....

I'll pull some ideas together for you and get it to you this morning. I'm sure if Mahsha makes an appearance, she may have some insight too.

This year the big thing is to sit ON the Green Monster, but those tickets can only be purchased AT Fenway Park and they sell out pretty quick.
