Mel was there, CRB!!! Oh my GOODNESS!!!!!!! Ya' know - for whatever reason, he seems like a completely normal, approachable individual. He's made some terrific movies, both acting and directing, yet he still seems like an average Joe to me!

Gail - I'm the morning person around her. I have to drag the others out of bed, kicking and screaming!!

Elaine - I bet you'll get a lift when you solve this one.

Marla - I'm taking the cookie sign-up into work today. Hopefully sell a bunch there! I thought that Friday was cookie kick-off day?!!?

Too bad the logistics aren't better, I would buy a box of cookies from each of you. After my own 11 years in Girl Scouts, and DD's eight, we have cookie withdrawal. And no one comes to our neighborhood to sell.

Our sales in the area were all prior to Christmas. I think we're done with GS cookies for the year. Bad timing, I think. With all the Christmas cookies and all that, I felt like my house was bursting with calories!

Hope your Dad feels a little better everyday OK.... I tend to agree with you about the hospitals - you need to ask lots of questions and stay on top of things .....my sister is a nurse so she really helped when my dad was having all his troubles .....

I'm glad Lew figured out the riddle since he needed to leave early and I wouldn't let him go if he didn't come up with an answer.

Have a safe trip Laura. As far as GS cookies go around here, in CT they take orders in the Fall and deliver in Feb or March....yet here in RI they don't even start taking orders until Feb or March. I think it has something to do with the bakeries and staggering orders so they can keep up.

MJ....it's not how early...it's where you live. Personally, I would petition Bernie to post the riddle at midnight, EST. Then you would be on the first page.

Unfortunately, you'd still have to wait til the am to get your pants.

But who the heck wears smarty pants to bed anyhow????

Being a Left Coast person too Mary Jo... I can actually ANSWER that question - as I have done it (once!). You have to be up and online before 3:30 am Pacific time! Makes it kind of "unlikely" that you and I will be on the first page very often.

It was blowing snow earlier this morning, so being the nice mother I am, I drove the kids to school. The sun came out for a bit, but it looks like it's clouding over again.
