Riddle me this!

OK, It's not as noble as it sounds.
"dad" is my neighbor and best-friend's father. He has had several surgeries on his back and now has very limited mobility. TO top things off, he probably weighs 350+#, so moving him around is a chore.
Our neighbors are our very best friends, and were both in the room when Meghan was born...they are unable to have children of their own, so they've sort of adopted my kids. Some times it is difficult to figure out where one house ends and where one begins...but I wouldn't change it for the world.

I'll let you know if anything opens up...LOL.....

Hey...did anyone order the "Hidden Mickey" book advertised over on Dis-con pages?
Have you received it yet?
I ordered it for DH for Xmas and really hope it comes in time.......

Morning all! Wow this has already been a nice and long morning for me. My cat decided that I needed to get up an hour early to play with her  I stumbled on downstairs to my computer after I was mostly ready for work and saw this riddle... my first thought was "ACK MATH!!!" so I quietly turned my computer off and finished getting ready for work. Now almost an hour into work here and I am finally getting around to looking in on you all. So good morning and thank you Bernie... that picture really hit the spot for me this morning!

I can just about feel the sand between my toes and softly playing music....

Here are some beach pants, Elaine...

Don't do this to me, Bernie.

I love sand.

And sun.

And frou frou drinks.

And a good book.

And the turquoise sea gently swirling around me.

ACKKKK!!!! NOT TODAY!!!!!

Wrong mindset. Gotta bake cookies. Gotta do 3rd grade party. Gotta wrap more gifts. Gotta clean up. Gotta gotta.....

For some reason, I've got this mental image of a certain DISer running down that beach in his grass skirt.....

Good morning everyone!

My pants beat me here this morning. It takes so long to read all five pages.

Don't kill me for saying this, but I LOVE the Algebra riddles. I just make my equations and solve them. (I am the one that took Linear Equations in college as a elective because I thought it was fun.)

So all my cookies are baked, my cards are sent, and the kids gifts are wrapped. Just a few more family gifts to wrap an 1 or 2 more little things to pick up.

Tonight we are taking DD's boyfriend and we are all driving to the Herrs potato chip factory about 25 minutes away. They put out a terrific, FREE, light display. Definitely worth the drive.

Amid, great picture.

OK, can we go to that beach for our riddle meet. It is beautiful.

Have a good weekend everyone.

LOL, Sis!

I think you are in a distinct minority here!!! :)

Enjoy the light show! :)

Hey, Gina, when should I book our all-girls-beach-vegging-rum-runner-swiggin' trip to the Caribbean? We can go to Jamaica! We'll have our own Jamaican pool boy bringing us frou frou drinks and even some ganga if we please......... :teeth:

I did come up with an answer to this riddle, but I must say it was a very painful process....... :) PM on its way, OK.

My DD enjoys it a lot! She's gotten pretty good at it. My other DD has started violin this year. They play little duets for us now. Things like Mary Had A Little Lamb....it's pretty neat. :)

I gave up viola for clarinet when I was in high school....because I wanted to be in the marching band. It was a good choice because I played in both high school and college....took some great trips for basketball tournaments (with pep band) and made some life-long friends because of it.

DS tried violin in 4th grade but there was some difficulty with the teacher in his school. He wants to try drums next year so I'm excited about that. DD hasn't said anything yet...but my fingers are crossed!

Snoopy. Can I go with you and Gina??

I can keep quiet about anything that goes on. I promise.

All-girls?!?!?!! NOT FAIR!!!!

Breezy Carol, you are hereby invited. :)

OK, you can come too, but only if you and I can do a Day Tripper duet. :teeth:

Gail, I played drums in school Had to choose between football and music, picked music. Have never regretted it. :) We had a great time in band.

Ours was a small band, 50 kids, including the color guard.

We'd come out at halftime of the football games, form the letter 'B' and play the school song.

Pretty much it....:)

I do look back on the shows we put on with some really fond memories. :)
