Riddle me this! The MONDAY edition!

Morning all. I can tell you truthfully, that I had no intention of posting for a while until I saw this thread. I know my post count would indicate otherwise, but I am a lurker and I read a LOT on these boards. And the fighting here as gotten to me as well. I know it isn't just about the DISCars and I can see both sides of the coin on that one (why some liked or didn't like them). It is a general feeling. Many feel like they can't post here w/o being attacked by others who may post. And before I go much more into it and say things I'll regret I'll hush.

Valerie, I am so very very happy about your mom. I've been thinking of her and will keep her and you all in my prayers.

I am pretty sure I know what today's riddle is. I buy it all the time and I sure missed it Saturday at the wedding when I was eating dinner. I really don't like using the "real stuff" I guess.

As for the wedding. It was great! My sister looked beautiful and the look on her husband's face when she walked down the aisle was priceless. The only bad thing is that it stormed pretty badly for a while. And the worst part is that walking through the water and all that did a number on my feet. Small rocks got in my shoes at one point and it sure hurt. I had bare feet at the reception. But everything was indoors and the thunder in the background was cool. I'll try to post a few pictures. There are no good ones of me that I see as they all came out blurry. I do have a good picture of the back of my head though so you can see how neat it looked. I did a bunch of braids and weaved them around in a bun-like shape. It might take me a day or so to get these up but I promise to soon.

Well I need to get some work done here. But if you all don't see me around much, don't worry. It isn't you, it's more of me and as soon as I shake this bad feeling I have, I'll be around more Enjoy the day all

Lorraine and I work with her uncle, so I'm sure we might get to meet her sometime. We got our picture taken a few years ago with Amber (was she in the Australian Survivor?). She is also from our area.

If I am not around as much in the morning, it is just that darn work getting in the way. If they offer me more patients, I take them. College tuition is looming. But I really miss you all. And working out of my car makes DISsing from work not an option.

Bernie, so glad your DD is making the right choices. I am sure you and Sharon plan to do some special things with her alone while her sister is away.

Valerie, so glad to hear that your mom is recovering. One step at a time.

Diane, great news about Ralph finishing!

Gail, I am sure you are excited to get back to some serious DISsing.

My family gave me a nice lime green sleeveless shirt and lime green thongs (the shoe type) for Mother's Day. They know where I spend my time.

My mother's birthday is Wednesday so I will go visit next weekend. I did talk to her several times though.

I don't know the riddle and haven't even picked up on the clues. Maybe this afternoon, but DS has a makeup soccer game, after my meeting at school. Calgon, take me away.

Good morning all! Pm sent, and I have it on good authority that my pants are on their way. I just hope they don't take as long as Gail's computer to get here!

Great news about your Mom Val!!!!! I'm so glad to hear that she has come out of her coma is on the road to recovery now! Ginny starts her EQAO testing today too, so I wish all of the kids doing it good luck!

Congrats to Ralph and the Twins, Diane!

Bernie, that must have been a very hard decision for Erin to make. Good for her for making the mature one! It says a lot about her upbringing!

Elaine, I'm glad to hear that things went well for your sister in spite of the rain. And I'm sorry to hear that you're feeling uncomfortable on the DIS lately. I guess I'm glad that I miss so much of the bad stuff.

We had a good weekend at Guide camp. The rain sort of cooperated with us. It looked like it was going to rain shortly before all of the girls arrived, but then it cleared up again and we got to have a campfire Friday night and do a little star gazing. It did rain Saturday, but it did it between our hike and the campfire, so that it didn't cause any problems with our outside activities. Sunday, it started to rain just as we were starting Guides Own at the outdoor chapel, but thankfully it wasn't too hard at that time. We managed to get the vans packed and the girls off before the deluge hit, and then it slacked off again when the rest of us were packing up to go. On the way home though it rained so hard we could hardly see at times. But again, by the time we got home it had slowed enough to not be a big problem when we were getting our stuff out of the truck. So, alll in all, we had a good time.

Hope you all had a nice weekend.
Had a quick visit from sister in Vegas, on a business trip,
and it was great to have her see Kasie.
The rambunctous little tyke had the nerve to
throw a temper tantrum in front of her... destroying of
course her angelic reputation ... LOL ... ('bout time).

Oh ... saw a fun movie for all you soccer moms and dads: "Bend It Like Beckham".
Good story and very funny ... if you can follow those British accents ... LOL

Glad the "weddings" went well in spite of the weather!

Elaine, don't be a stranger on the riddle! We would miss you!

I forgot to mention that Duffy also won Best of Breed. I was just so glad to get Raph's championship! That means I will quit showing him! He is too difficult to show, and he lives with a friend, so it is difficult to groom him. Duffy lives with me, so I can special him and have plenty of time to groom on him.

BTW, the roofers DID come back Friday! With all the rain, they didn't get a lot done, but they are SUPPOSED to be here again the whole week! Must say, I have to see it to believe it!

Hey LK - did you notice on Survivor, before they announced the winner, they flashed "Jenna's Family" on the screen??? We knew then she had gotten it! I don't get to watch that show very often, it's on when I play hoops and I'm too lazy to record it (isn't that awful??!!) - but I always enjoy it when I see it! It's THE ONLY one of the reality shows I can stomach.

Elaine - I gues the rain got you guys - sorry to hear about your feet!!! *EEEK* Glad to hear it was a nice ceremony. Looking forward to seeing the pics, even those that are blurry AND the back of your head!!! And thanks for posting this morning.
