Okay, y'all were way too chatty for me today!!! I will try to catch up on everything, but no promises here ;)

I hope you all are having a great evening :)

Hope the game goes well Laura!!!

Valerie - I voted for Clay....and our collective fingers are crossed here....kind of makes it hard to type........

Hi Elaine!!!:Pinkbounc

Good evening everyone! We've been on the go since they got out of school today. Cheers for Leah - she got the magical golden toothbrush given to her today at her orthodontist appointment for good brushing. She had an expander put in about 10 weeks ago, and she will be getting braces on her upper 4 front teeth in about 3 weeks.
They finally discovered the hamster cage wasn't up anymore. They thought I was kidding at first when I told them it died. They were sad, but not as upset as when the first hamster died.
I've got to get the ironing done now before AI starts. I wish the Amazing Race would start again soon. That is one of my favorite shows.
Laura - hope the hockey games goes well!

Just a little refreshment to start the evening off.....I actually took this picture of my Fiesta Margarita a couple of weeks ago in EPCOT....I told my neice that I was FORCED to come have one of these in all of your honor!! I think she actually believed me....it was a LITTLE odd to her though when I told her I had to take a picture of it to share with you all! :D

Gail, Clay got my vote too....aside from being super talented, he's seems a really nice guy too!

Are we due for another Amazing Race? I could be up for that!

LK - How old is Leah??? Elizabeth is 8 and may need braces but we're still waiting for several top teeth to make an appearance...most importantly the ones on each side of the 2 center teeth. Until then we won't really know how the spacing is. BOth kids got teeth very late......neither had any until way past their first birthdays....so I think everything is delayed. Luckily Matt's teeth are straight and strong so we dodged the brace-bullet with him!

Valerie - love the picture.....I could use one tonight!

I LIKE that the MAGICAL GOLDEN TOOTHBRUSH!!! That's great news! I'm glad to hear that the "hamster" news did not go over TOO badly! Any mention of replacement pets?

:teeth:

Oh boy... I am not sure I can keep up with you all!

I see drinks though!!!

Glad that things went well with your kids and the hamster :)

MMmmmmm.... the Fiesta Magarita looks delicious! I wish I would have known about those before our trip.

Leah will be 8 in June. Both of my kids had a full set of teeth by their first birthday, in addition to a full head of hair when they were born. She has lost 8 teeth so far and one more that had to get pulled (that was a truly awful experience :( ). She lost her first two teeth while she was still in preschool, when she wasn't even 5 yet.

Logan got braces when he started second grade. That does seem awfully early to me, but that is what they recommended. His teeth look great now, but he may have to go on to phase two of braces when he gets a few years older.

Leah wants a kitty in the worst way, but I don't think our dog would like it very much!

Isn't that great news Laura???

Oh and I think your doggy would be fine with a kitty... ours always were :)

I see L6 is trying to get to 150 pages faster by triple posting.

I am glad the kids weren't too upset, LK.

It is great and unexpected news about Elizabeth Smart.

Elaine, what can you tell me about those Italian charm bracelets? I hate to post this on the Yaya thread for fear I will be swamped with enthusiasm!;) :p Do you just buy a basic bracelet and then the charms you purchase fit over top of it? I found out today that another mom in DD's Brownie troop has opened a kiosk at the mall with her husband to sell them. They look beautiful, but I didn't know how expensive it would be to put one together.

I'm also thrilled to hear the news of Elizabeth Smart. My computer chirped a news alert and when I saw her name I unfortunately thought the worst.....so glad to hear it's good news!

My DD also wants a kitty in the worst way. Our house isn't the best set-up for a cat.....literally no uncarpeted area big enough for a litterbox. I'm not totally against the idea but DH is not a cat fan. :( I just have to figure out the purr-fect time to address the issue!

The charms are removable... it's hard to explain unless you have a bracelet in your hand. But you have a bracelet full of blank charms and then you can buy the specific ones. Well you take one blank charm out for every new one you buy. As you stretch the bracelet you can kind of see how they hook together. Starter bracelets are usually about $10 and they are blank. Each GOOD (and I emphasize good) charm will cost about $17+ (on up to $40 for expensive crystals). You can find charms cheap e-bay but I can't guarantee that they would last. The good ones are 18K (solid) on the stainless steel backing. Worth looking into and slowly getting charms together IMO :)

Gail, just bring a kitty home and explain later ;) :p

So did you see John's and my new tags?? Got to be careful what you say here.

Laura, I looked into these bracelets at a local jewelry store. The basic bracelet was around $9. Each additional charm was $6 - $30, depending on what it was. I think you needed to get about 6 charms to make a complete bracelet. It wasn't too expensive. The charms link in to one another, like a watch band. Alittle hard to explain.

Elaine, I just might have to get one of those bracelets. I am searching a website right now, and I found charms for Garfield and Bunco - two of my favorite things!!

DH is not a cat lover either. Here's a thought - maybe I could just pass it off as a really large hamster!

I suggest several very large fiesta margaritas to pull that one off!!!

Naaa... tell him it is a large guinea pig :p

My bracelet is about 18 charms. I have tiny wrists but this is very lose on me (I think about 7 inches to give you an idea). The $6 charms are usually the cheapies tha can fall apart so if you get those don't expect them to last forever.

A really good starting site is www.italiancharms.com They have a great selection. I am right now in the search for the "tiny" bracelets that are really thin. I have the "medium" or "standard" width and the "thin" but not the really really thin (only 5 mm I believe).

A question for AI fans! We got a late start this season....who was Frenchie and how far did she get before she was disqualified...and why? Thanks!
