Hi Everyone!
I'm heading out to run DD around this morning:rolleyes: just like every other day! :p

Good morning! Leah and I were at the Mother/Daughter country-western dance last night for Girl Scouts. It was tons of fun. I have to laugh because at the end of the night me and two of the other moms were singing one of the songs with the DJ's microphone, and all I could think was "THIS is the way to embarrass our children at RiddleCon!"

I still have a little bit of a sore throat and some congestion this morning, so I thought it was best to cancel my platelet donation for this morning.:( Hopefully I can reschedule soon.

I think I might go to the hospital tomorrow after church to visit my friend and her newborn twins. Since she had a C-section, she won't be discharged until Monday. The twins will probably have to stay in for a week. They want to monitor their breathing, temperature, and eating for a while. I think they were born at 34.5 weeks, so although a few more weeks would have been beneficial, they are doing well.

Carol, I think I will have to rent "Girl, Interrupted" and watch it when no one else is home, or I will also be Mom, Interrupted like you were!

LTM, hope your meeting goes well.

Elaine - let's hope next week is a better one for you!

:p That oughta get her attention Carol:p LOL

Got the message LOUD AND clear!!!!!!

Now that I've "cleaned" I DO hope that SPRING IS CLOSE BEHIND!!!!!

Catch you all later!:D

Morning Everyone,

A little sluggish this morning....went out with DH and neighbors after the Home Show last night, and we ALL have pounding headaches today....

One tequilla, two tequilla....floor...I guess......we must be getting old....ucky thought.

Kids all spent the night with my parents...it was soooooo quiet here this morning...the sure remedy for that is to let both boys have a friend sleep-over tonight (what am I thinking)

All the boys are headed to the movies this afternoon, and Meg and I are going shopping for a new stove......with the ultimatum from DH..."Buy something nice.....spend the money and get what you want!!!" Oh...Okay..........

Have a great day everyone!!!!!!

Happy sunny Saturday!!!!

I was asleep by 10:30 last night...and that doesn't happen often. This morning we all went out for breakfast....registered EB for soccer and did the errand-thing. Now Matt has gone sledding with a friend.....and EB is moping around because she doesn't have anything to do :( (translate that to her friend next door isn't home) I offered to have her help with laundry but she wasn't interested.

Carol - I don't think your DD's dance will be cancelled tonight...phew! The father-daughter dance that was postponed the same night is being held next Friday and this time daddy will be able to go!

Steph - I'll type softly since you have a headache :(

Hope work flies by Valerie!

LK - Bet you can't wait to see those babies!!!! I had my DD at the wrong time, insurance-wise. She was born at the time of "drive-through deliveries" She was delivered by c-section on a Thursday afternoon....and I was discharged on Sunday morning....and I had brochitis too!!!

Hi-
LK-I can't wait to hear about your visit with the new Mommy & her twins. I have a special fondness for twins:D Who am I kidding?...I just LOVE ALL BABIES! I was just over playing & cuddling with Maria.....she is so wonderful! She smiles from ear to ear every time you hug her:D awwwww:D
Steph-I too am typing softly so as no to aggravate your hang-over. Good Luck with your stove shopping.
Gail-I don't blame Miss Elizabeth.....I wouldn't be getting in line to help with the laundry either:p
Valerie-Glad you got your 'cleaning' done.

Tonight is Euchre night with 5 other couples.......I'll try to check back in later.

I'm nosy.....what's that??

Oh boy... I must be lazy and forgetful.... I totally forgot to stop in and say hi to you all this morning. I am lazy and just sitting in my bed with my two cats and my laptop. I think I just booked a room for my stay in Chicago in April. I don't do priceline so I have to get creative with how I look for rooms :)

Boy my weekend sounds boring compared to y'all!!

Week four on Survivor: The Amazon finds us deeply embroiled in another episode of "The Young and the Worthless."

Elaine - your day sounds just fine to me!!! :D

Hello!
Gail-Euchre is a card game played with 4 people. It is a lot of fun. I've promised to teach Carol at Riddle-con:D

 Hi Elaine!!

HI Guys.

Headache all gone.....I don't think it was a hangover, so much as the tequilla......does that make sense????

I am totally card challenged, and don't play anything more advanced than go-fish.

Picked out the stove I want.....it may be cheaper to just eat out for the next 15 years!!!!!

Thought I would post here for my #2500.

Dinner for DD and friends went off without a hitch. There were going to be a total of 7 in February. One boy had to go out of town this weekend, so down to 6. Then this afternoon, one of the girls (the girl friend of the out of town boy) called and said she was grounded for getting into a fight with her mom, so it ended up being only 5. They were all well behaved. The food was enjoyed by all. I am glad I could do this to keep them off the roads and save them the cost of going to a restaurant. And I can listen to the conversations from the kitchen. Everyone has left for the dance, DH, DS, and I have eaten, and the dishwasher is started.

I am going to watch "City of Angels" at 8.

Have a great evening!:bounce: :Pinkbounc

Hey all! I have been a chatty lady on the phone tonight so I am finally back and checking in with you all :)

I was finalizing some plans for Chicago in April. I found amazing air ($88 total round trip) so I won't be driving. I called my good friend, Hannah, who lives there and we can spend time together on Sunday. So I think I am mostly set for this trip now :bounce:

Stephanie, glad the headache is gone!!!

Carol, congrats on 2500!!!! That's great!!!!

 Hi Gail!

Lars I love Euchre myself! Lots of fun to play!!!

Ugh... fighting with my cat on where I think she should sit ... gotta move her around a little!

Been watching a movie with DH & DS.....K-19 The Widowmaker.....DD was watching Nick in our room. The movie was intense but Matt wasn't watching every minute. It was hard for him to get the idea of how much the US and the Soviet Union hated each other in the 1960's. Not hard for DH & me to remember air-raid drills in school!!!

Hope everyone has had a nice evening. I'm not good with card games either...except Uno, war, go fish.....

Steph - when's the party to break in that new stove????

Congrats on 2500 Carol!!!! I'm glad your pre-dance dinner went well too. How was City of Angels??

Carol-I'm glad the dinner was a success & I can't wait to hear about how much fun she had at the dance!

We had a lot of fun at Euchre tonight.....we just got home & I'm sleepy......see ya in the morning!

I really enjoyed "City of Angels." I thought it would be a chick-flick, but it really wasn't. DH even watched it with me. It had quite a few actors that we like in it.

DD enjoyed the dance. Said it wasn't as well attended as the previous dances, probably because of the date change. She and her BF even danced!
