Yay! Lars is ok! She is having major computer problems and has to sit down today at 5 to go through a two hour process with Dell to delete everything on her hard drive and start over. TONS of PD your way Lars so you are back with us soon!

Part one of my birthday celebration. I just got back from going out to lunch with one of my friends. We used to go to lunch often when our kids were younger and we both worked part time. Now that we both have more full time jobs, we don't see each other as often. She works ina school so had today off, and I had taken a holiday, SO we went out to lunch. It was fun to catch up on life.

A small vent in the grand scheme of things. I've been lurking a bit tonight and just read a post on another thread that has me shaking my head.

I realize in a internet forum such as this anybody can say basically anything (within reason) and naturally everyone has a right to their own opinion. I'm just sometimes blown away at what some people think is important and what is not, and at their inflexibility to even consider others opinions.

I suppose it's no different than life but because this is, to a degree anonymous, some people think nothing of posting things they wouldn't have the courage to say outloud.

Actually Lars is in the Eastern time zone (Michicgan is with us and still EST... I swear we ought to be in Central at times though) so I wonder where she is

Darn it....I always mess up with that area of the country!!! I know Ohio is Eastern but thought MI was Central. Oh well. I'm completely lost with Mountain time!

I caught up on the riddle thread this afternoon......it made me laugh, especially the age comments. We have such a wide range of ages here but some people just seem to click no matter how big the gap. I also got a kick of the years people were guessing for the date of my birthday photo!

We're back from Thinking Day! It was a lot of fun. It was nice to see the things the girls had researched on the different countries.

Gail - I like to hang out on this thread because everyone here is so nice. I could never be a poster on the debate board, because some people try to be so nasty on purpose. Vent away here!

I wonder if the Dell dude is helping Lars out from his jail cell? That could explain her computer problems!
