I am back after Survivor. It is getting a little annoying how they try to portray people one way.

Elaine, you wouldn't believe how much snow there is here. There is no place to put it. The piles are huge. I was on one of the side roads close to an elementary school. It was barely 2 lanes cleared and no sidewalks shoveled. I don't know where the kids would have walked.

I have a sore throat and my ears are itchy. I am afraid I will wake up sick tomorrow.

What they're showing of the women's tribe certainly fits typical stereotypes of women but they really do need to pull together if they plan to have any staying power.

I read that in an interview, Jeff was quoted as saying he made it a point to speak directly to Christy (sp?) and the men had no idea she is deaf until the merge. Do you think that inferred she was able to hang on until then or simply that the men found out from the women who made it? I really didn't think the others were giving her a chance but what they showed of her this week didn't help her chances either.

Hey Gail. I was starting to wonder if anyone else was here. DD and I both watch Survivor and ER. I get the computer 9 - 9:30 and she gets 9:30 - 10. So, I will have to go soon unless I want a mopey teen around.

I booted DH until 10 since he doesn't watch ER. It's been quiet here lately. No sign of LK tonight and I haven't seen Lars in a few days. I certainly know how busy life can be.

Oh no Carol, not you too!!!! I hope you are feeling great in the morning... and I swear by using Zicam at the beginning of colds! It really works for me to keep the colds livable.

I don't even want to think about snow. It started to melt today but we are in for more this weekend. I know in some areas they are still closing schools and are trying to dig out. I admit my area is excellent in clearing snow. We have huge piles but at least we can drive!

Don't do Survivor, so nothing to add there

Well, DH and I have now managed to watch ALL THREE seasons of Sopranos, and have to wait until season 4 is out on DVD...IN AUGUST.....I'll never make it...

Thank goodness there is a race each weekend!!!!!!

Steph, I am not a reality TV fan at all. I do a lot of stuff on my computer so I hardly ever watch TV anymore. My DH does and he will be watching TV as I am on my computer so that is about the closest I come to watching anything.

Good morning fellow dwarfs! I was tired last night, so I took a nap between 7 and 8. I watched Survivor from 8 to 9, watched The Bachelor interview on tape from 9 to 10, and then watched ER from 10 to 11. I can't believe Carter didn't propose! I guess the conversation with Abby's mother really freaked him out.

Glad you are feeling better Baboo! Carol - I hope you start feeling better soon!

Blue and Gold banquet is tonight for DS, but I will have to miss it because it is the same night as Thinking Day for Girl Scouts with DD.

We finally got an estimate from the man who is going to be putting in our carpet and ceramic tile in the addition. The installation is a lot higher than I thought it would be, but I guess it is expensive to lay tile. I wish DH and his dad knew how to do it. It would save us a lot of $.

OH Laura......tile is super duper easy....and it's a new construction right??? Those guys could definately handle it...DH and I have done 2 rooms at our house, and it was a cake-walk.

Home Depot sells a "do it yourself" tile video, it's like $10, and worth the money. You guys would save a ton of money doing it yourself.

Thanks Stephanie! I will have to look into that. I could really use that money for something else. I really didn't think it would cost that much. I guess it just takes so much time to lay the tile so that is why they charge so much.

Just wanted to as my friends here to keep the fire victims and their families in their thoughts and prayers today.
Given the size of our state, the number of people in the club, and the proximity both my office and Lew's, it's very possible we will know people who were victims.

Gail, my thoughts and prayers will be with them today. I just read your link to the story, and I put CNN on. What an unbelievable tragedy. The live footage is very upsetting. Please let us know if anyone close to you was there. {{{{hugs}}}} to you.

Good morning fellow dwarfs! Dopey checking in, and boy, do I feel dopey today! My head is all stuffed up and I feel crummy! Carol, I hope that you can nip yours in the bud before it gets a real hold on you.

Gail, I'm keeping all of those people in my thoughts and prayers. What a terrible, senseless thing to have happen. I hope that all of your friends weren't affected.

I don't watch reality TV either. I think I watched about 2 episodes of the first one, but couldn't work up any interest in any of those people.

I was concerned about our niece Michele because she lives across the street from the club involved in the fire. Lew just spoke with Jim (her dad) and she's fine, she watched the entire thing from her apartment.
