Richard Petty Driving Experience

Has anyone done the driving experience and/or the ride along?? I am trying to decide if I should do the ride along or driving experience for a gift for my husband? I thought I read somewhere on the boards that one husband said after doing both preferred the ride along because you go faster then the driving experience???

Do you know how fast you can go when driving on your own?? This must be very safe??

That was my post! My DH has done the Rookie Experience and felt it was so controlled that it wasn't as much fun as he thought it would be. I'm not sure of the exact speeds, but he is definitely looking forward to using the Ride-Along coupon next.

Don't know if you are interested but with my AAA discount I was able to buy the Ride along and Driving experience for less than the rack rate of the Driving experience. My husband tends to be a hands-on kinda guy. There is no way that once around the track as a passenger would compare to be being behind the wheel himself.

thank you! that is good to know. I wonder if you can use split it and use for two different tracks? I would love for my husband to do the drive in Disney World but the ride along in New Hampshire when he can take my 15 year old son to do it also, since at Disney's track you have to be 16??
Anyone out there have their teenage son do the ride along??
