I agree with planning it early in the trip. Also, if you do it in the morning (which I recommend), don't plan anything important for the rest of the day. After DH did it, he was on such a high for the rest of the day that even though we went over to Epcot for lunch, he didn't remember what he ate or where he was. And he spent the rest of the day calling everyone he knew back home (and I suspect a few people he didn't know!) so he could tell them all about it.vicb said:Same here. But a word of advice, plan the ride early in your trip so if you get rained out (like my DH did) you can reschedule for later in the week. For my DH the only day he could reschedule to was our last day and he opted to take a "rain check" which he ended up using back here in Michigan that spring. He ended up being very happy because MIS is a 2 mile oval and he could get up to faster speeds than on the 1 mile oval at Disney.
The day he got rained out he had to take a cab from BWI to the speedway to get his rain check (he could have rescheduled over the phone). The RPE guys were so nice. They gave him a ride in the track van around the oval and in the pit area. Then they gave him a ride back to the BWI rather than drop him at the TTC.!!![]()
When we did it at MIS it was awesome. The RPE staff is so helpful and friendly. They made each guy/gal feel so special and they were great to the kids and non-riding spouses. We got a ride around the track and got to stand up on the elevated pit row roof so we could film our riders.
I highly recommend RPE!![]()

1. what is the top speed for the track at WDW?
2. are the cars standard, auto, SMG?
3. has anyone ever crashed? Did it look cool?
im looking to do the rookie experience in March, and i have these few questions before i spend the 400+ dollars.
Thank you all in advance for your replies.
One last thing, is there a certificate that you recieve and is it just for looks, or do can i use it to do more work on another track?

If you're a AAA member I think it's another $20 or so cheaper.
