Sunday 7th May.
...already into week 2. Doesn't Time fly?
We start the day with our normal routine. Me in the shower first, then over to Sassagoula's to fill our re-fillable mugs whilst Avonia and Victoria drag themselves out of bed. Breakfast over, its into Miss Piggy and across to Disney MGM Studios.
We head straight for Rock 'n' Roller Coaster, but there's only a 5 minute queue for Tower of Terror so we pick up our fast passes to RnR and walk onto the TofT.
Now, I don't know about you, but I preferred the ride without the seatbelts to stop you floating. Never mind eh? Still a great ride and still thoroughly enjoyed by Victoria and Myself. Avonia decided to sit this one out and chat to a lady about white sandy beaches in Destin (maybe a location for a future holiday
)
We then had a quick snack before going on RnR Coaster.
Interaction with Aerosmith.....how much cheese do you want with that?!
Now, back on "Part 5" of my trips I mentioned that Victoria didn't think it was as good as previously. I have to agree with her. Don't get me wrong, it is a really enjoyable ride but it didn't appear as fast as previously. Have they slowed it down a little? However, no matter how persuasive I was, Avonia still refused to go on it.
Once completed and topped up with fluids we made our way over to the Backlot Tour. Another favourite of mine. We came out of this with perfect timing to allow us to walk straight into the "Lights, Motors, Action".
By this time we were all feeling hungry so we headed for the ABC Commissary to refuel the body cells. It was then time to utilise the Disney Photopass again:
We're now getting to mid afternoon and the temperature is back in the mid 90s. Phew! its a hot one this year!!
So we decide to talk an easy walk around some of the streets:
Before heading back to the POFQ to freshen up.
We relaxed around the hotel before setting off for our evening meal. Today was a 6.30pm sitting at the Maya Grill at the Coronado Springs Resort. The meal was excellent:
Another over indulgance in food......trousers were beginning to feel tight. We took the opportunity the explore the Coronado Springs and walked around the lake to work off some of those excess calories.
This hotel seemed massive, really nice but some of those rooms were hell of a way from the main buildings, and no cover if it rained.
Half way around the lake, we found the hammocks. I'm still laughing at Victoria trying to get into one. I thought that type of thing only happened in the comedy shows. Mine and Avonia's sides were hurting by the time Victoria managed to get into one. I haven't laughed like that for a long time.
By the time we'd done the compete circuit, our limbs were again tired, so good old Miss Piggy took us back "home" where we got our customary coffees and "juice" before going to bed.
