Here's a tip for you in case you find yourself swimming with your camera gear as I did!
This past weekend while shooting some portraits, the SB600 and I decided to take a dip in the Congaree River--we both needed to cool off from the 100 degree temperature!
I did manage to save the D700 from the river, but the light stand and the SB600 went down with me. After pulling myself off the bottom I rushed to pull the SB600 out. It was still on! I tried firing it and nothing. So I popped out the batteries and kept on with the shoot.
Later that evening I put the SB600 in a Tupperware container with 4 lbs of rice. After 2 days it has risen from the dead!
