Rice Dream in WDW???

Does anyone know if they sell Rice Dream "milk" at the resort stores in WDW?

I have various food allergies / intolerances (fructose, dairy, gluten, egg yokes, sugar) so finding safe food can be very tricky..... As I'm recently out of the hospital after an attack my Dr's have warned me to be vigilant in what I eat.

I've found the Rice Dream "milk" replacement to be well tolerated and hope that it might be available at our resort (YC) or close to it?

Our last trip to WDW I only had to worry about fructose so these new restrictions are making me a bit worried about this trip. And our first "meal" at WDW is this Saturday so time is running out to plan.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated!

I have never seen Rice dream milk at the food courts. They do sell rice dream ice cream. I would suggest you contact a chef at your hotel and ask if they can order it for your stay. You can also ask when you arrive. Just ask to speak with a chef.

Never seen Rice Dream milk. Only the Soy Milk. At home we use Almond Breeze which is excellent.

I have only seen the Silk Soymilk at the resorts I've stayed at, but I was told if I needed rice dream, I could get a runner to get it for me (or request the kitchen have it). Rice dream ice cream seems pretty readily available.

I emailed disney about that a few weeks ago because our son can't have regular milk nor can he have soy milk. Will be staying at the Pop and they responded that they have both rice milk and rice ice cream on hand at all times.

IF this is true it is a recent change. 10 days ago I was told by email they do not have it in stock and you will need to request it. We have stayed at Pop many times and have to request they order it each time. The chef there is wonderful and orders it every time she see us. She also makes sure they have rice dream ice cream on hand.

I would suggest having some delivered from an off site grocer to make sure you have it with you. I have been to WDW twice and have never seen this. However in looking at GardenGrocer.com just today for some things we want delivered for our trip, they do have Rice Dream milk products available. It is under the Dairy section, subsection Non-dairy. Their delivery fee is $12.50 but I think that would be less than having to get a taxi or ship it or even extra baggage fees if your bag is over weight. So that is what we are doing for things we will need as well.

We are back from our quick weekend trip and none of the resorts we checked had Rice Dream "milk". I did find the icecream version at the icecream shop at the MK. As it contains an ingredient that I am intolerent I only had a very small portion during Wishes - man it was good

As this was a short trip I just made do.... on a longer trip I would have ran over to a local grocery and picked some up. Looking forward to breakfast tomorrow as I have some in the fridge

I'm going to make sure I print that email out and bring it with me when we go on vacation, because I am noticing a pattern of CM confusion with both online and over the phone contact. For instance, when I called to adjust my reservations, I figured I might as well request a building for the heck of it. Since my son loves all things computer related, we request the 80s/90s building because of the computer pool. The CM on the phone never heard of such a pool and said "it must be something new over there". Now I've never been to WDW, but my whole family has be researching and looking at pictures and maps and stuff I we knew about the pool.

Back on track, the CM who responded about the Rice Milk at pop even mentioned that she spoke to "Chef Gary" and he told her they always had it on hand.

I just think the whole thing is a little weird and they need to train their folks a bit better for consistencies sake. I'm going to hate getting there, figuring they have milk for him in the morning because of the letter they sent me, and then finding out they don't have any and dealing with a meltdown every morning.

I Know a chef at Pop (Not Chef Gary-never heard of him) that we speak to when we check in. I am not sure what letter you got. But just yesterday I got an update from Special diets that says they have started carrying rice milk and to speak with a chef when you arrive. (Availability and vendor may vary)

I think they have some available "on property". If you let the chef know when you check into the hotel they should be able to have it available for you. They will not have it in with the rest of the cooler items. You will need to speak with a chef each morning.

When you call reservations or even the Resorts you are actually getting a call center. This may be in Orlando, Tampa, Houston, Salt Lake City, somewhere in North Carolina or someplace else. Some of these people have never even been to WDW.

When you contact special diets you are getting real people who actually are at WDW and they are a small department who works only with this..

I've always been told that the rice milk is Pacific brand, not Rice Dream. In person I have worked with Chef Gary at Pop but it's usually Chef Dan who calls me or emails me at home to go over our needs before our trips. The chefs really are great. My experience has been that if I have very specific questions about products/brands at specific locations that I'll ask Special Diets and they'll forward the question to the correct chef who will then contact me. Chef Dan at Pop did order in specific brands for us when we went in June.

WOW Rice dream rice milk ice cream??? I've never ever seen this...I do know that Wallmart sells the non shelf stable rice milk..it's about 3.12 for a half gallon.
Gonna look for the rice ice cream...

double check with them that it is soy free. I've noticed a few brands actually contain soy. I usually only purchase rice dream because it is soy free and I'm soy allergic.
