Hi all

Just wondering where is the best place to get a full rack of ribs. I seen a pic on the boards here of some ribs but can't remember what restaurant it was from. My 16 y/o ds loves ribs and I would like to take him to a place that offers them. Post any pics if you have them!!

Thanks

One place to get ribs that's a great value is Cosmic Ray's at MK. It's a CS, not a TS, and they offer a rib platter, a chicken platter, and a combination rib and chicken platter for one CS.

When we used DDP, we often ate one of our "big meals" at Cosmic Ray's to save a TS for a signature dining. It's not the greatest dining experience of my life, but it's enough food. And the ribs aren't bad.

Flame Tree BBQ at Animal Kingdom also has great ribs. This is also a counter service meal.

Thanks so much everybody. This gives me some great ideas. :thumbsup2

:thumbsup2

I just had ribs at Sci-fi for the first time and they were delicious. Now that is a TS meal. Also with the skillet, at WCC they are good also.

Flame Tree a favorite for us. Ribs at the Hoop De Doo and Luau also not bad.

Flame Tree BBQ are the best and best value for ribs - and a wonderful location, very pretty tables by the water looking towards Everest.

But for a full rack - the Rainforest has a great choice - They are called MOJO Bones!

Whispering Canyons Cafe at WL has delicous ribs! You can get a separate entree of just ribs, or all you can eat ribs along with the skillet of chicken, pulled pork, etc.

I think the most important questions haven't been addressed...

Do you like wet or dry ribs? Babyback or spareribs? St. Louis style or the kind with the little riblets still attached at the end? Do you prefer a sweet sauce or a spicier, vinegar based one?

There are lots of differences between the ribs at Sci-Fi and the ribs at Flame Tree and the ribs at Yak and Yeti and the ribs at PH.

I prefer a babyback, fall off the bone rib with a sweeter sauce, so I preferred Sci-Fi. Flame Tree were too dry and I HATE to have to gnaw on a rib in public. I want to be able to just use my fingers (good ribs shouldn't need a knife!) and have nothing but a pile of clean bones left.

What kind does your family like?

I would have to say the babyback ribs is what we are looking for with preferably a bbq sauce. I was thinking of trying Sci-Fi as well as WCC anyway so those choices are looking better everyday .

Thank so much for the ideas everybody!! :thumbsup2

Gotta agree with Flame Tree they had to be good for my 9yr Daughter to eat mine. I did get a taste of the sause but she ate them like she eats her grandpa's ribs. Rain Tree to me was bad. Sorry but I tell it like it is. Now I have not tried Cosmic Ray's but now I'm going to to save a TS. Were going in Oct/Nov so I guess I'll have to make this trip a rib trip.
