Ribbons for causes

What are all the causes and colors? I know red is for AIDs, pink for breast cancer, yellow for our troops, I think white is for peace and lime green is for the DIS.

I just saw a purple one and I know there are more out there. What are they?

Purple is for Hodgkin's Disease survivors, although I've seen it used for general cancer survivorship as well.

I inquired about the purple ones here on the Dis in peoples siggys the other day...........they are for EmmasGrammys little granddaughter Sophie who is in the hospital.

According to this site, purple ribbons stand for many causes and you may have to just ask the wearer.

The current purple one on the DIS (the one in my signature) is for a little baby named Sophie. Her grandmother Emmasgranny posts on the cruise board. She lost her daughter and granddaughter Emma in a house fire a couple of weeks ago. Baby Sophie is in critical condition and the family is praying for a miracle and wearing purple ribbons in support of her. Someone on the cruise board designed this and we've been using it as a show of support to the family.

I have seen different colors for some of the cancers, but I tend to go to this list first.
