ribbon watchbands - make your own

If you have a Mickey watch with interchangeable ribbon watchbands, you can make more watchbands easily. I found a pattern at http://www.jcarolinecreative.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Store_Code=JC&Screen=WATCHBAND and then I simplified the pattern to make my own with minimal sewing. I spent less than $1 per watchband for materials.

Now to just find great ribbons...

Do you think this would work on a regular watch if I would remove the straps then replace the bars?

Probably depends on the watch, some have different ways of attaching the band.

The ones from WDW all have D ring closures. Here are the ones that were bought at Downtown Disney with my watch:

Great idea to make your own watchbands. Then you can have your favorite colors or ones to go with your different outfits or moods. Very cool.
