Gotta love DH---- RFC is the only restuarant he requested we be sure to eat at on our upcoming trip. I can decide the rest. Anyhow, it looks like the wait is always forever. I know you can't make a reservation through Disney-- but does the RFC take their own??

You can make PS for the one at DTD no.If you belong to RFC Safari Club it helps with getting a table. You can get signed up for it at RFC wab sight,I think it cost's $15.00 but you get a coupon that that you can use to recover part of the cost. :goodvibes :wizard: :wave2:

I believe you can call RFC-DTD direct at 407-827-8500 to make a reservation or you can purchase a Safari Club card when you get there for $15 which will give you priority for being seated. We purchased the card in April. There was a wait of over 2 hours. We were seated in less then 10 minutes. Once you purchase the card it is good forever at all of there locations. Also, you get a 10% discount with the card.

You may be surprised on the wait. My wife and I have eaten lunch there the last two time we were there. Last Nov. and this last May and had no wait. We went about 14:45 or so after most people eat lunch and got right in(well, maybe a few mins. wait but not more than 5) Thats the trick, eat when others aren't...smjj

Thank you for the replies. I'm going to look into the card first. We go often for dinner (usually once a month) to the RFC in Niagara Falls. So, if I find out it's good at all of them then I'm definetly going to get it. Sometimes the wait up there can be pretty lengthy too.

We love RFC. The Safari Club is the best. I paid $15 for it several years ago and it has paid for itself many times over. Everytime you eat there you get a discount on the bill or a free appetizer. We get the appetizer which is the chicken pita quesadillas. They are fabulous! Then my Mom and I split the China Island Chicken Salad. The kids order their meals and we don't spend a lot on the meal. I tip based on the real cost though.
You also get a discount on the merchandise.
Every year you also receive a $5 coupon for your anniversary date and I have also received $5 coupons for my birthday.
And yes...with the card you don't need a reservation. They will seat you as soon as a table opens up. We go to both RFCs in WDW and the one in Disneyland and the cards never expire nor do you have to pay any additional fees annually or ever.
I highly recommend taking advantage of this program.

Yes, the Safari Club is the best. The fee is not annual, just one time.
The elimination of waiting for a seat makes it worth that alone.
But you will receive coupons.
At the AK RFC, I just used my $5 off birthday coupon. And that was with the regular Safari discount too.

Unfortunately, if you lose your card (like I did) there is a replacement fee ($10 I think), but the replacement card will also come with a $5 coupon, which takes some of the sting away. Geez between my RFC card and my DDE card, I'm learning all kinds of stuff about replacement fees when you lose your cards! (at least they haven't been credit or debit cards)
