What the best thing you ever "earned" from a Rewards program?

I earned a 20" tv several years ago from Sprint...and I've got lots of "MyPoints" points (they're burning a hole in my email box! )

I earned a 20" tv several years ago from Sprint...and I've got lots of "MyPoints" points (they're burning a hole in my email box! )

We pretty much paid for our first disney trip with the online rewards programs. 4 of us 'clicked' for about a year and our total was (this took me FOREVER to track down on the rewards board, it is a copy of my post from 2001) :


With Webcertficates and cash from freeride, blink, suzykats, mypoints, searchcactus, netflip, and various surveys we got:
3 parkhopper plus passes = $750
Paid on all stars ressie = $378 (this is paid off, we now are starting on paying off the AKL part)
Various disney items from gifts of a lifetime and ebay = $250
1 Cirque Du Soleil = $72
Disney Club Memebership = $39 (I think this was 39 but it has been a while since we ordered it. Also, this has saved us over $300 in discount ressies, so IMO it is worth the money.)

While probably not the most expensive, the most memorable things we ever got through a reward program was back when Pampers did a rewards program. We had infant triplets at that time and really racked up the goodies! The kids each got a Little Tykes motorized jeep and a whole bunch of other toys. I think we had a Christmas stash for several years. By the end of the program, Pampers was out of toys and just sent checks for the amounts the toys were worth!

DOes this include hotel programs?? Other than our free hotels for our WDW trips (and our other vacations) thru Holiday Inn Priority Club, we also get Sea World tickets (for all 5 of us) from them (twice!)and WDW tickets (depending on how many points we have either a few or all 5 tix) through Marriot and /or American Express points. (though I don't know if they offer them anymore). Plus we should be able to get our car rental free from HIPC (we've gotten it free from BUdget in the past but they changed their program) We also get our airline free with NWA points. SO I guess my answer would be that our best reward is our every 2 year WDW vacations ( all we usually have to pay is food and souvenirs!). BTW we also did almost all of our CHristmas shopping with HIPC and AMEX points this year so that was another great "reward" Also at least 2 of our meals will be free this trip with our Speedy Rewards points (have enough for Applebees;' cert . and TGIF points)

I've used my Amex rewards points for hotel stays, restaurants and rental cars. Two years ago we redeemed enough points for $2200.00 in Home Depot gift cards. We used them towards our kitchen cabinets. When we went to Disney last year, we rented a car and used our points for a Hertz gift certificate. For a 2 week rental, it cost us a whopping total of $11.00, so it didn't matter that we never drove that car at all during our stay. We also redeemed for $200.00 in dining cards and it helped us out on our food purchases. I love Membership Rewards!
