Rewards Cardholders: What happens if your rewards card doesn't come in time??

Hey again all...

I have about $125 in rewards I have been saving up from my Chase Disney Visa, well two weeks ago I sent away for a new rewards card as my old one was warped from being left in the sun. The site said 7-10 days for delivery, well its been 10 days and no card!!! I waited as long as I did for my statement to close so I could add the most rewards possible, I guess I should have just added them to the card, rather than waiting to order one.

I know it says once you put on the card, you can't take them off, so I am just stuck without the card for my trip? I have two more days of mail, but I am doubtful it will come.

Thanks for any help!!

Unfortunately, you're sort of out of luck. You'll have to use the card for a later purchase.:sad1:

Call the Rewards customer service and see if they can track it down. For future reference, you can order a card when you have 20 rewards points and always add on more points as they become available if you know if you are going to use. Once the points are put on the rewards card, if they are not used prior to the card expiring, you will lose them.

When I ordered one in October, it took about 3 weeks to arrive. I hope you get yours in time.

If it does not arrive in time, you are NOT out of luck! I have lost a card with points on it and was able to have them reinstated. If you do not get your rewards card in time call the Disney Visa people and explain the situation. They should be able to cancel the card that is in the mail and you will be able to get a new rewards card with your points on it at the Disneyland Resort. I'm not sure if it is in Downtown Disney or actually within a park, but somewhere you can receive a rewards card in person.

Don't forget to inquire about the perks of just having the Disney Visa Card. Merchandise discounts, a free 5X7 photo and free stroller rental were some the last time I checked.

I hope that all made sense and helps! :goodvibes Good luck and have a great trip! :goodvibes

Just2DisneyKids is absolutely correct!!!!

We just returned last night and we accidentally dropped the fully loaded Rewards Card at the house on the way out the door to the airport!

We went to Guest Relations at Downtown Disney and with a license ID and the Chase "Credit Card"; they issued us a new "Rewards Card". We then went to the house phone and called Chase for free and they transferred all the points from the card at home onto the card in hand.

They said that they could also do this for a card that is about to expire, you can just have them issue a new card and then transfer the points over to extend the expiration.

Hope this helps.

That is really great to know! :)

Hi -
I ordered mine on Sunday 11/25 and I got it on Monday December 3rd. They told me not to expect it before 12/4 -- WOW I was surprised!!!

I would call them and see what the status is --- that time frame seems long taking into consideration of what just happened to me.

Best of Luck!!
