Reward Dollars for deposit

When the free dining first comes out and is only open to Disney Visa cardholder, do you have to put the $200 deposit on the Visa or can you use the Reward Dollars for the deposit?

Has anyone used (or tried to use) the Reward Dollars for the deposit during the cardholder only time period?

Just trying to get my ducks in a row for next year.

I did not but it was an option when I made our initial deposit.

Thanks so much for responding. I hate the idea of having to put $200 on a credit card if I have enough reward dollars to pay for the whole trip. Now I don't have to worry about that!

Now I just need to come up with another $900 or so Disney Reward Dollars over the next 15 months.

You can use the rewards card. However, if any discounts are involved with the booking deposit, that has to be done on your Visa.

I was asking about the first few days of the free dining promo. Does that count as a 'discount'?

No it does not. Only a discount that is offered specifically for Visa Card Holders.
