Revival of the angry thread!

They've apparently decided that some of those bare bones weren't required as long as Al could still be abused to wihin inches of his life!!

We did some repairs in a house today where the man smokes one cigarette after another. I have showered and washed all my clothes but I can't get that crap out of my sinuses. Any suggestions ?

Dont snort bleach...it does work...but DANG...the buzz takes forever to go away!!!

How did you manage to get crap in your sinuses ?

I thought they had already hacked your department down to bare bones, Al.

I think I may go in wearing ACUs and carrying a weapon - that'll shake them up a little. No ammo though. I'd be tempted to use it!

Strangely enough, I'm starting to enjoy it a little! :lmao:

How are you doing Rog? This economy must really suck for you.

Al...Im learning to adjust....its all any of us can do.

So, I need to start huffing in order to get rid of the smell of cigarettes in my sinuses. :rotfl2:

Thats funny and reminds me.......I heard that cigarette makers are going to be required to add some sort of chemical or something to smokes that will cause them to extinguish themselves when left for any period of time. I was furious when I heard this...because I was very concerned that whatever additive they use may end up causing me to get cancer!!!!

I dont want anything UNHEALTHY in my cigarettes!!!

Another pain in the butt about this is I have a feeling you will need to light a cigarette several times in order to finish it...whos got time for this...Im in a hurry to get my cancer, and dont want to be inconvenienced as I make my pedal to the medal journey to a smoke filled death!!!

If I didnt know better....I'd think someone is trying to make people quit smoking:smokin:

Mental Illness Sucks.

Jim, I've seen you post this before..and just want to say, I'm not sure what you're dealing with. Only, I know you to be a good person, and I'm sorry for your troubles. Like Denise says...we're here for you. :grouphug:

Adjust..maybe you could talk to my husband then:confused3 He looks like crap. (I mean that in the nicest way possible)....he's lost some 40 lbs. He's got bags under his eyes..I swear I think I can see the letters "S-T-R-E-S-S" written across his forehead. We're getting to old for this.:rolleyes2
Other than that..he's good. :rolleyes2
Oh..and I think I've gained every pound he's lost....obviously, we deal with things differently..:sad2:

:grouphug: one for you and :grouphug: one for Bob.

Well, we had to let the new dog go yesterday. He has had problems with DS, who is 6. I'm not sure if was a struggle to be the alpha male or what, but he kept growling when DS was trying to play with him. We've been working a lot at home and at puppy school, and he seemed to be making progress.

I was out of town for a church retreat when DW called me yesterday morning. Peanut mis-interpreted something DS was doing and snapped at him. He didn't break the skin but did leave a mark. We can't take a chance of this happening to him again, or to someone else's kids, so he had to go. By the time I got home last night DW had placed him in a local shelter, waiting for transport back to the original kennel.

The kids are a mess and DW is even worse. Last night was long and not restful. DS tried to get DW to let him leave home yesterday so the dog could stay. Now he is upset at Mom for taking his dog away and won't talk to her.

Looks like a long, sad week. I feel like I just gave my child away because he misbehaved. As if I didn't hate Winter enough as it is...

I know its rough Rob but, you know you did the right thing. Its very sad when you have o do somethng like that but, the pain that is being felt now is nothing compared to the pain of not doing it and the worst happening. Hang in ther big guy, children are resilient ( and they recover fast :lmao: ). sounds like you made the right ( yet the tough ) decision.

I agree. Hang in there Rob. Kids get over things quickly. Sounds like you had no other choice. BTW, glad to see you back. We missed you around here!

Well since I couldn't find anything else while I was laid off I got a call back this weekend so I guess I will be heading back into HELL tomorrow. :crazy2: I had hoped that with all the extra time to look I would find something a little better but with the economy in the tank there isn't anything out there.:confused3
As for the smoke smell it will go away. I work in some appartments where they smoke so much the walls are sticky and the curtains are stiff. We even had a trade in Cougar 5th wheel only 2 years old that had carpet that was stiff and brown stuff running down the walls. :smokin: :smokin: :smokin: :smokin: :smokin:

Tig....as much as it bites the big one...at least ya got THAT job back. Ive complained about my job for years, and honestly...I do not enjoy it a bit. But there are a ton of guys standing in line right behind me with their hands in the air begging to take this job from me. This economy gives a guy a whole new appreciation for what he has. Congrats on th return.
