OK, me again! Still trying to revise our first day plan again. Let me know what you think about this latest one:

9:30 Arrive at MCO
11:00 Arrive at POP -> have lunch
12:00 Head to Magic Kingdom -> get AP
- Take Monorail to GF and Poly and tour resorts -> take Monorail back to MK to catch the bus
2:00 Return to Pop ->check-in (can't earlier without AP)
3:00 Take taxi to Fantasia Gardens
5:00 Head to Downtown Disney -> have dinner at Rainforest Cafe

Used your suggestions before - more are welcome!!! :) We definately need to accomplish 4 things:
1. Hit a theme park to activate my AP -> using old ticket to purchase, so must be a theme park!!!
2. Mini-golf
3. DTD
4. Exploring GF & Poly (+ maybe POP).
+ Lunch & dinner somewhere

My suggestion that will save money on the taxi is to go to Wintersummerland mini golf by Blizzard Beach take bus to Blizzard Beach and it is right next to the entrance. Or if it must be Fantasia Gardens take a bus to the Swan and walk to it, it is around there might be a few minutes walk.

Most of the time they will let you check in without your AP as long as you show it within 24 hours.

DO you have vouchers for your AP's?? I checked in to Dolphin last Thanksgiving before mine were activated. Call the POP and tell then you have AP's that arent activated and you wanted to know if you can check in with the vouchers.

You are only giving your self 2 hours to get to MK, activate passes, tour the resorts and be back to POP at 2. I dont think you are going to have enough time. You need to see about checking in early! That way, from the resorts tour, you can get the monorail to TTC ( ticket and transportation center). From there, you can get a bus to the Swan for golf. After golf, catch the bus from the Swan to DTD. I think you need to cut out that trip back to POP to check in. Its going to take too much time out of your plan. Even if you CANNOT check in early with AP's that arent activated yet, why cant you drop off your luggage, go eat lunch, and just check in after dinner??

When you say you need to activate your AP with an old ticket.. what do you mean?

I have days left on an old ticket. I'm going to use the leftover days to upgrade to an AP. I was told by several Disney attendants that the only way to do that is at a theme park (can't even go to DTD). I have to buy my AP there. Anyone know if there's anyway around this?

I would LOVE to cut-out the return to POP in the afternoon. However, if we do that, will we have a lesser chance of getting the room we want. It's my MOM's anniversary and she's VERY specific. She wants to be in a 50's room, near Lady and on an upper floor. Since this is so important to her, I wanted to make sure we got it. I already put a request in with Disney, but they said that they could only try, they couldn't guarantee it. Since this is so important to her, I hated to wait until later.

Anyone know if when we check our luggage and our room isn't ready, can I express these wishes again and still have the same chance of getting them? When are rooms officially assigned? That's my BIG CONCERN of the day.

Thanks to anyone who knows the answers! :)

Oh.. ok.. I wasnt sure if you were renewing an old AP. Why dont you give POP a call. Tell them your situation. That you will be arriving early, and want to check in, but wont have your AP until later that day. See if they let you check in anyway if you come back that evening and show them your AP. That is the only way to cut out that trip back to POP... and thats going waste at LEAST an hour.. probably more.

I know what you mean about requesting rooms, and getting them. In Janaury, WE got Toy Story bldg at movies, but our friends didnt. And this was January!! We both needed connecting rooms. They had to stay at Dalmations. Call POP.. and let us know what they say. It will ease your mind to know you have a better shot of getting the room your mom wants, and also that you dont have to come back in the middle of your first day!! Keep us posted on POPs answer!!!!
