Has anyone had dinner here? How was your experience? How does it compare to Emeril's restaurant at CityWalk?

Hubby and I will be staying at PBH over Memorial Day weekend for our anniversary - we ate at Emeril's in October and loved it. I thought this would be a nice chance for us to try something a little different. Any thoughts?

Thanks! :goodvibes

I haven't tried the CityWalk Emeril's yet, but Tchoup Chop is my favorite restaurant in Orlando. And I live here.

Whenever DW travels with the kids and I we have to eat at one or both for lunch or dinner. I asked her which one she wanted to go to for our next stay at PBH and she chose Tchoup Chop. It's a little more romantic, not on the well beaten path, and service there has an edge. Tell them it's your Anniversary and they will be especially attentive. My wife told them it was my birthday last October and everyone that worked there said "Happy Birthday" (like I wanted to be reminded).
One tip if you are going to TC from PBH- Take the bus. The bus picks you up where the taxis queue in front of PBH and drops you off relatively close to TC. By boat you would need to switch at CityWalk docks.

Hven't been to Emeril's in City Walk, but we LOVE Tchoup Chop. Our dinners there were delicious and the service was fantastic.

We have been to both and love them both!

Tchoup Chop feels a bit more relaxed than Emeril's, but the food is just as outstanding. If you loved Emeril's I'm pertty confident you'll love Tchoup Chop as well! I'd say go for it. :goodvibes

I prefer the 'feel' of Tchoup Chop over the atmosphere at Emeril's. but the food and service levels at both are superlative. I've never walked out of either feeling like I haven't gotten my money's worth.

Here's another vote for Tchoup Chop over Emeril's. However, I've never walked out of either of them feeling I've gotten my money's worth!

I prefer Mythos over either of them. I am also very fond of The Islands at RPH.

Thanks for the feedback - I checked out the menu last night and it sounds pretty tasty. I think dinner here will provide a good finish to our weekend getaway.

We ate here between Christmas and New Years and it was horrible, the service was very slow and to make matters worse the food came out cold and when we asked to speak to a manager he wouldn't come to the table so after a while we went up to the front of to complain and he could have cared less. This used to be my favorite restaurant as Universal, we ate at three others which were fabulous, Palms, Emerills and Mama Dellas when we inquired about what was going on at Tchoup people told us that they had heard numerous complaints lately.

I have to add that Tchop Chop is one of the most Beautiful resturants. We ate at the Counter it was great.

Its been a year but we loved our meal there, dined there a total of 3 times over a couple years and can't fault food or service, looking forward to returning this July :goodvibes

We ate there 2x during our Dec trip. The second time was for dessert only, and our waiter remember us from 2 days before.
The food is amazing, I still dream about the Ahi Tuna/lettuce wraps
