I have never been to either and I have adrs for both on my upcoming trip. So any and all feedback good or bad would be appreciated. I am thinking of Chicken Parm at Tony's and filet mignon/Chicken at teppan edo. I will end up having to pay out of pocket for one place, so trying to decide if I should bother with both places or not. Thanks

I have been to Tony's for both lunch and dinner. I prefer lunch it is less crowded and a bit less expensive. My daughter had the chick parm and tarimisu the chick was a very large portion and really good I had the ceasear salad and the pistachio creme brulee absolutely loved both. My son had a meatball sand and desert, For the three of us I think it was somewhere around 70.00 not too bad. We will be eating there again next year at lunch time :thumbsup2

We ate lunch at Tonys last year and DH had the chicken parm and he enjoyed it. I plan on ordering it Wednesday night when we have our first dinner on our trip.

We enjoyed Teppan Edo last year and we are going back this year.

Look at the menus and try to decide what would be cheaper one out of pocket.

We haven't eaten at Tony's, but we did eat at Teppan Edo. I got the shrimp and chicken and thought the shrimp was great, but the chicken was a little dry. My husband got the steak and shrimp and thought both were really good. The food was good and the show was cute, but I thought it was a little pricey for what we got.

Teppan Edo is great. Might be one of the best filet Mignon I've had.

Haven't done Teppan Edo yet, but I really want to try it someday. We like Tony's a lot. I always get the chicken parmesan, and enjoy it very much. The spaghetti that comes with it leaves a little something to desire, but the chicken itself is great!

I WANT to like Tony's as I love Lady & the Tramp and it's a sit down restaurant at MK in a great location, but as much as I WANT to, it's NOT good. We've eaten there twice in the past two years and the food is yucky. For example, my unpicky dd loves spag and mb and couldn't even eat hers. The ONLY thing we enjoyed was mocha cheesecake for dessert with a cute outline of Lady and the Tramp dusted in cocoa. Teppan Edo is delicious and fun. It is crowded but worth a try as long as you arrive a few minuted before your adr.

We had great service at Tony's but we did not enjoy our meals. I had the chicken parm and it was a huge portion. But none of us liked the sauce they use. DH was very disappointed, he said I make better sauce :confused3

I've not ate at Tony's, but hope to on our upcoming trip. I figured we'd try to go to some places we've not been yet (w/ exception of DH's favorite: Ohana).

I did eat at Teppan Edo in March 2009. We had a later ADR, but the place was full! We had a minimal wait and were seated with other people (obviously). One of the things that makes it really more fun is when the other people seated with you are FUN people! If the group is a bump on a log, the cook doesn't put as much effort into the "show." My suggestion: be friendly, interact & enjoy!

As for the food, it was good. I was 6 months pregnant so almost anything was giving me indigestion; I typically would eat lightly. My DD ate most of my steak & loved it. At the time she was 9 & they did not have any steak on the kids' menus. (We have a Shogun by our house & they offer steak. Also at Shogun you get soup AND salad... if you are doing the DDP at Teppan Edo, they only let us have soup OR salad.) My cousin loved her meal as did her DD. It was good; I would likely go back, but I do prefer my Shogun to Teppan Edo.

Oh - this restaurant is a "leased" location so they have Sweet & Low (where other Disney restaurants do not carry the pink stuff). My cousin was thankful for this, but it didn't make any difference to me. Seems like there was a soda they had here, too, maybe Dr. Pepper? We are water drinkers ourselves...

Hope it was helpful for you! Have a great trip! :santa:

We just got back. Ate at Teppan Edo the first night, and I was a little disappointed after reading such good reviews. The entertainment wasn't as much as I expected. Also, the food was pricey for what we got. I got a filet (which was delicious), but it was served with a smattering of noodles and vegetables seasoned with soy sauce. There were also three other sauces on the side. It was NOT a $30 entree. Luckily we were on DDP. This was our least favorite restaurant of the trip. Boma was our fav. I have never been to Tony's.

Ah, must be different strokes for different folks.:goodvibes I LOVED Teppan Edo. I've eaten there twice within the past 2 or 3 years, most recently a year ago (so, nothing really recently). We loved it both times. I had the sirloin steak/chicken combo. Both were flavorful. The veggies on the side were delish too. Keep in mind that it IS a little pricier because of the "entertainment" factor.

We love Teppan Edo, it is a must do for us every trip. We always go over (adult) DS birthday and it is his choice for his birthday dinner. I do not feel it is overpriced and I think it is more authentic than some of the like restaurants in the US suberbs.
Enjoy!!

Ive had the filet mignon @ Teppan Edo. The food was Awesome! The service/show/entertainment is just like any other hibachi grill. That being said it is one of our favorite places to eat.

Ate at both on our recent trip.

Tonys was very good. Quick service and the food was very good. Large portions.

Teppan Edo. Our chef was great. He built a huge onion volcano. Used all the onions he had

He put on a good show and the food was quite tasty. We do hibachi at home all the time and this was very good and the prices not too far off from the one at home. I had the chicken and shrimp and DH had the strip and shrimp. Both were very good. The sauces were pretty good too.

We were not on the dining plan and had no issues with the prices and the quality and quantity of the food at either place.

Teppan has been a must do for us since first dining there in 2006. I also eat there sometimes on my girls trip. We really enjoy it. The food is good and the show is fun. Finally tried Tony's this year with Nascargirl and her DH. I was a little worried as the reviews are not always good for this restaurant. It suited us just fine. I think you would be fine with both.:thumbsup2

Tony's was great I ate there twice 2 weeks ago once for dinner once for lunch both meals were fantastic to all the people that say the food isn't good I can kind of understand where people come from they order something that they make at home all the time the way they like it i.e. spaghetti and meatballs and when it doesn't taste like they make it they complain ... Tony's uses a Marinara with chunks of tomatoes in it so if you don't like that don't order the stuff with that sauce but if you are open to that sort of thing its delicious

Teppan Edo If you like the Japanese Steakhouse cook right in front of you thing you will like the show but a lot of people with us complained the rice was white not fried the noodles were good but lots of onions and not what I would call great and then you get your main which I had the Filet and it was very tasty but I was not overly impressed with the meal itself had the place been around the corner in my town I would not return
