Reviews on Fronze Sing A Long Please

Ok we are 35 days our from going and I have a FP for Frozen Sing A Long at Disney Hollywood Studios but not sure if we should go now. I just heard a couple of bad reviews on the show.

I would like to know what you all think please.

Not sure I want to wait in line or waste a FP on just watching parts of the movie.

I watched it once and that was enough. The narrator's are pretty good and decently funny. That's the main draw of the show. When we went we thought it was going to be Anna and Elsa on stage singing and a quick summary of the movie. That's not the case.

When the songs play it's just that part of the movie on the screen with the karaoke words to go along. Kind of lame.

The narrator's basically retell the entire movie in a quick summary and you see Anna and Elsa for a total of maybe 5 minutes.

So it's something I'd see one time and never again. I'd recommend using a FP unless you plan on showing up early and waiting in line. We waited standby and got in line about 30 min prior to the show. By about 5 min before we went inside they were telling the people getting in line that they might make the show but it's not guaranteed. So it fills up fast and is highly overrated lol.

We found it quite enjoyable. We did standby and stood in line for less than many FP folks who queued to get "good" seats. We were the first row behind the FP section and they let us in just a couple of minutes after the FP line started entering.

My daughter and I waited 20 minutes or so as she played with her souvenir stamp set and then it was an additional 5-10 minutes more after they had us cross the pathway to get by the entrance door.

The show is a FF of the movie with many of the musical numbers shown straight from the movie as sing along and 2 characters doing comic bits in between narrating the story.

Anna appears at the beginning and both Anna and Elsa appear towards the end.

It seemed many in the theater enjoyed the show. Especially the singing. I found that they did a good job having the narrators appeal to kids with silly puns and jokes that would amuse adults. I would totally see it again. Not sure if I would do it over and over again--but I am the same way about Fantasmic and Beauty and the Beats and most shows. I'm good with once or twice.

So I do think it is worth seeing once. Other members on our group saw it as well and enjoyed it.

Personally, I don't think it needs a FP+ unless you have a diehard fan who must see it above all else. SB should work just fine. FP+ is better used on the rides, IMHO.

But keep in mind, I saw this with my 4yo and my friend saw it with her 11 and 9yo, all girls who love Frozen. So, YMMV.

I have been 4 times and loved it each time. It is a very well done show and adults as well as kids enjoy it. Of course, you have to really like the movie in order to enjoy the show.

I have done it with and without FP. FP is not needed if you get there at least a little early. The lines do fill up fast, though. I am using a FP on my next trip because it is better than some of the other options like Muppets or Great Movie Ride.

We were wondering the same for our FP+ selections in Feb and ended up reserving it after watching the show on Youtube.... With the tiering in place at HS, not too much else to choose from anyways in that category.

I thought my DD 9 would be disappointed to see that Anna & Elsa really weren't in the majority of the show, but she looked delighted at the whole audience singing along with the movie clips... Then she asked to make sure we book FP+ for it, so that was that.

Since the sing-along began in July, we have gone to a show about once a week. Each show is slightly different as the historians change. Each historian brings their own take to the characters Aria and Erik.

I was solo and used a FP on it since there wasn't anything else I wanted for a 3rd FP. I was ready to walk out after 5 minutes. I like movie Frozen but that sing along was definitely not my thing.

Most people seemed to get into it though.

If you have little ones who love frozen you can't miss it. The kids seemed to love singing along. It was so cute. I've got twin girls that like frozen. I loved looking out of the corner of my eye to catch them singing quietly. They don't like singing in front of me. Lol.

I saw it twice within a few days of each other, and I was surprised that some of the narration / puns / jokes were a little different in each show. Just enough to keep it interesting and I think it was totally worth seeing a time or two (and a don't miss event if you have little girls to take.)

We're 2 sixty-somethings with no kids and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Even DH (who went just to humor me) liked it much more than he expected to. Part of the enjoyment was watching the little kids in the audience who were really getting into it.

I wouldn't use a FP for it unless its a don't-miss for you and you're there when its busy, but if you have time I would certainly recommend seeing it.

There is nothing better than seeing grown men sing "Let it Go" in the auditorium. We have been twice and enjoyed it both times. I would go if you have Frozen fans, but I wouldn't use a FP+ unless it is a must see on your list.

We saw this show on Monday and my 4year old DD had the best time. Very enjoyable! I would definitely watch it again!

It was much better than I expected. My 3 year old of course loved it, but I was surprised at how funny the narrators were. The had some very funny adult oriented one liners (think shrek) that made what I felt would be excruciating tolerable. And that is saying a lot since everyday in our house is frozen sing along.

Senior citizens here, and we have seen the show at least 7 times. We use FP+ and enjoy the different historians.

We did not expect much and we loved it. The narrators are very entertaining and there is some humor geared towards adults included. Anna, Elsa and Kristoff all do make appearances. We did not feel like they were too short. We worried that all it would be was listening to pre-schoolers around us screaming the songs. I don't know how they do it, but something about the acoustics keeps you primarily hearing the broadcast, instead of screaming children, without the broadcast being overly loud. I think it is worth seeing once. I thought we would be one and done, but we are all looking forward to seeing it again on our next trip.

We love it. We've seen it several times. You get the most out of it, if you embrace the Sing-a-Long theme and actually sing with them.
