Reviews of Wedding Consultants

[ I don't know if there is another thread out there with this topic - I have searched! ]

We were just assigned our planner and her name is Pamela Mattack with assistant Jen Flores. Does anyone have any experience with her? Good or bad!

We were told we would get a phone call a month ago and are just now getting in touch with her (I guess because she was out on other dis-business - F&W Festival - and is just getting back into the swing of the weddings).

So, I just wanted reviews in case anyone has had any problems with her...or even loved her! Any info you can give would be great...PM me if you don't want to comment publicly on the board for fear they may read your comment.

I was just worried that she would be neglectful for the rest of my planning (I'm not a detail obsessive bride, I just want timely responses and some attentive planning service along the way...with of course awesome, friendly Disney level services the day of the wedding! haha

Jen seemed to fit my personality well when I talked with her yesterday---she reassured me I wasn't being neglected (hoping that's true!)

I had Ken as a planner (he has since been promoted) but his assistant was Jen. She is wonderful. She saved my whole dessert party for me (see my PJ if you are curious). She helped me with a lot and was very quick to get back to me. Emailing is the easiest way to touch base I think. I hope that makes you feel a little better.

Jen is also my assistant and she has been wonderful so far, always getting back to me very quickly!

i totally get where you are coming from but i wouldn't go anywhere near saying you need to worry about being "neglected"! october is apparently THE biggest month too so keep that in mind! i don't have your planner and i certainly tried to search out any tidbits on her when we got a name, but honestly i think a lot of the whole relationship has to do with just that - a relationship and some people "get" each other and some people kinda dont...

i'm sure it will be great! our planner is very helpful but the DFTW machine is a plodding beast, it certainly isn't exactly the individual oriented detail i think i expected but that isn't bad per se, i'm sure i could "make" it be that way if i needed it to be! hang in there - there is LOTS of waiting involved and i don't think there is anyway around it!!

thanks SambyCat - - you put that very well! hehe - I totally understand the whole waiting on them because they are busy thing - and I know that May and October are the busiest wedding months...but a whole month and a half since I was told I would get a call from her? (was supposed to hear from her beginning of September... that was a little worrysome... (I own a flower shop, so I totally understand that there are other brides and other things going on - so I'm definitely not being neurotic...just a little concerned when I was supposed to get that call a whole month ago - that was beyond ridiculous ). Another thing that made it weird was that Meri (who I've read rave reviews about) contacted me while the other lady didn't to assure me she would be calling me - and I waited....and waited

BUT, I know Disney delivers and know that in the end it will be awesome Pamela left me a message yesterday and she sounded very sweet and her assistant Jen seemed helpful with any little questions I had that I needed immediate answers for...so I think we are off to a good start now!

She is on maternity leave until August - Her fill in planner is Jamie Ledet and Jessica Rawlings is her assistant. She has been wonderful! I met with Pamela and she was so laid back and so was Jamie, they are perfect for any nervous bride types

Yea I have been working with Jamie who I love but wasn't sure about Pamela. Thanks for the info. I have my planning session beginning of August so I am hoping she will be back. Last I heard from Jamie she thought she would be! I'm hoping!!

It was great to meet Pamela, she always had answers to any questions I had and never acted like my nit picky questions were ridiculous I look forward to having her as our planner, she seems like she is very confident in her job and that she knows her stuff. I look forward to having her back. When we went for our planning session it was Pamela, Jamie, DF and I. It was great to 'hang out' with them for the day getting to know their personalities. They were both so relaxed and funny that it made me feel great about my planners being able to take care of my every request for our wedding

I don't know if that helps, just my thoughts

Thanks for the info on Pamela She's our Planner as well, but I didn't get to talk to her much before she was out on maternity leave. I'm told she'll be back in September when we go for our planning session, so now I'm really looking forward to meeting her!

We just got married on July 16, 2011 and we had Michelle Wenzler-Dorr as our planner and we absolutely loved her! She did such a great job coordinating and making our day magical. At some points it may feel like they take a while to respond to things, but its only because they are in the moment making the current wedding that they are working on the best it can be! She was checking in with us all night and making sure everything was perfect. She also turned my ideas for how I wanted our reception room decorated into my perfect reality! Disney does a great job and we are so happy!
