Just back from the AKL, we had a great time. I'll be posting dining reviews in pieces. We arrived Sunday and after a littlew pool time went to Rainforest at AK for dinner. What can I say? It's a fun place, especially for kids (my son is 5). The food was okay, but nothing special. Its not cheap, someone has to pay for all the extras. My wife and I each ordered a pizza. My son asked for the volcano desert, which was too big for the three of us, but it was fun. If I never went to Rainforest again I'd be ok with that. However, if someone I'm traveling with wants to go there, I will. I quess that sums it up. I'm totally neutral on this restaurant, I neither love or hate it.

Lunch was Pizzafari at AK. I had the chick parm, wife had the pizza, son had PB&J. PB&J was a pre-packaged "Uncrustable", which DS has never had but he ate with no problems. Our food was acceptable. We used the dining plan, DW and DS had the frozen lemonade, I had chocolate cake. the deserts were the best part of the meal.

Chef Mickey, well we have been there before, but will likely not return. Some of the vegetable dishes were cold and mushy, the prime rib was WELL DONE, and when a fellow in front of me asked for ham he got the scaps at the end, not a recognizable slice. The deserts were OK, but the ice seemed icy, like a yogurt, not creamy like ice creamy should be. Sevice was ok, the characters were active. Each time I've been it seems the food goes further downhill. I doubt we will return.

Oh, and Boma for breakfast as a treat for me. It was very good, but nothing that blew my socks off. The frunch was good, the fresh fruits were nice. Still, it did cost us roughly 55 for two adults and a child to have breakfast. I would go back as a treat, but certainly not every day.

Thanks for sharing your reviews. I agree with your assessment of Chef Mickey's. The atmosphere and character interaction are great, but the food is just not worth it.

Thanks for the reviews. I feel the same way about Rainforest Cafe. The one thing that bothers me about RC is it's just a chain restaurant. If Disney wanted an animal themed restaurant with animatronics I think they could have done a much better job. RC was the easy way out.

Enjoyed reading your reviews ~ Thanx for sharing.

How big was the pizza you ordered? How many pieces did you get out of it? I am wondering about 2 teen girls sharing? Thanks!

Two teen age girls could likely split one. I had ordered an appetizer, and had my wife and I been smart we could have split one pizza. She ordered the cheese, I had the pepperoni. We both preferred the pepperoni.
