Hi All

Stayed at WH condo #302 from Dec1-6. Its a 2 bdrm 2 bath unit on the 3rd floor. The unit was clean and had all the dishware pans towels etc you would need to stay. This unit also had 3 TVs although the TV in the 2nd bedroom was a 13" but our DD didn't mind. We had a queen bed in a large master bedrm and the master bath was a good size - no tub in master bath just a fullsize shower with sliding glass doors. The 2nd bath had a tub/shower unit and was larger. The living room area had a couch and loveseat both looked good but when you sat in them you sunk - think its almost time for a new set - but truly NOT a reason not to stay at this unit - the dining area had 6 chairs and a large rectangular table. The kitchen was VERY CLEAN and as mentioned before had all needed items. In the entry area there is a double door closet which houses a full size W&D. There is also a screened patio with a small table and 2 chairs.

*** I just reveived an email that infomed me that all the electronics and couch and loveseat have been exchanged for new ones****

WH is CLOSE TO ALL THE PARKS!

No joking here are our times from parking lot of WH to parking lot of parks

1. MK - took 12 minutes!
2. MGM - 5 minutes
3. Epcot - 7 minutes
4. AK - 7minutes

Seworld - 17 minutes
US/IOA - 22 minutes

there are 2 publix that we saw on 192 near to WH also a Super Walmart on Osceola parkway(I think thats the road) before you turn on to 192

Every imaginable eatery is within 5 miles of this place!

There was a couple of things I found strange - by the W&D there was a sign asking to wash and dry all towels on the day of departure - also in the welcome book it asks you to strip all the beds and leave no more than 2 loads of laundry to be done - But check out is at 10am? and Laundry supplies are not provided - other than that all was GOOD!

Now I still prefer DVC(yes we are owners) over WH but I must confess it was quite nice for the price:goodvibes

I have added pics of the unit so you can see it also this link below is the family I rented from - Very nice and easy to deal with -

Thanks for the review! We are going to WH next week and are super excited. I was just wondering if you used the pool by any chance and how was the water temp?:yay:

I think the things that they ask you to due upon departure vary according to Management companies. Ours just asked that we live all dirty linens in the Washer/Dryer area and just strip the beds. Oh, and to also put all dirty dishes in the dishwasher and start it before you leave. We weren't actually asked to wash the linens though. We used Florida Sun Vacation Homes...

We've never been asked to do anything ....but have always put the sheets and towels in the washing machine before we left as we thought it was the right thing to do.

We have booked a 3bdrm in May and I am so glad to hear that you had a nice stay!!

I have to ask: What is a publix? (sorry, I have no idea!) Also, is this a quiet, safe place?

Thanks for the review and the pictures. I do think that it depends on the management company as to what needs to be done upon your departure. I am praying that the management company that we are using next week does not require the towels to be washed and dried. We have a 6 am flight, so we will be leaving at 3 am, and I plan to shower before I leave.

We stayed in a condo at WH last year and loved it. It was a very safe, quiet and secure area (sheesh ... why didn't I book again this year after saying all that!!) ... anyways, we just had to put our towels into the washing machine and the linens by the machines in the laundry baskets. Sometimes the notes left by the management companies are confusing and even conflict with the homeowners, but all usually ends up ok. As for the laundry facilities, I don't know of many homeowners that provide you with detergent to do laundry. We always buy a small liquid Tide and use it throughout our stay.

Enjoy WH ... it is beautiful :)

PUBLIX is American grocery store chain. It has lots of nice items and deli as well. Great selection of items. Perhaps some may be familiar to you.

I must be the only person who doesn't feel that 10 am check out is not too early. The housekeepers have to have time to clean properly. Since I have done that line of work before I know it can be tedious as well. Thanks so much for your wonderful review. We are renting in June.:goodvibes

Since we have a 7:15am flight and I'd hate to ahve to be up at 3AM to get a load of laundry done!!!!

:laundy: :laundy: :laundy:

this is who we're renting from, so it's good to know that I can "sleep in" until 5AM:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

We just returned from a WH visit and we enjoyed it as well. We rented through a different management company (Florida Sun Vacations). We had a 7pm flight out on our last day, and I didn't want to have to rush around to get out by the 10am checkout time, so we opted for a later checkout. It cost us $50, and it was only available if nobody else was scheduled to arrive later that day. We found it to be a huge convenience, because we spent a few hours at Typhoon Lagoon, and headed back to the condo to clean up, pack up and get out by about 4:30.

If we hadn't had that luxury of later checkout, we'd have had to drag all our of clean clothes and shower debris into Typhoon lagoon to get ready to get on a plane. I wouldn't have wanted to travel smelling like a pool, feeling all chlorinated, and having wet swimsuits packed away in the suitcase. Yuk.

I'm renting from the same family in August.. (the 204 unit)

Did they charge for the clubhouse access card? Was it $6?

How close was the pool? Clubhouse?

Were they good to deal with? They seem like a decent family.

Are you staying at Windsor Hills?
What Mangement Co. Are you using?
Like you said it all depends on the Mangegment Co.
We are leaving right after You. (Feb17)
Are you flying out of Portland?
We are, we usually fly out of Bangor. How's Portland, if you know?
Happy Birthday on Sunday!:cheer2:

I am renting their new townhouse on Sir Kaufman rd. Is it very far to the clubhouse/pool? Can we walk there?

Did anyone talk to them on the phone? I have tried and cannot get ahold of a live person. :confused3

Your townhouse is located just under the "MA" in Kaufmann. I'm renting it also. I haven't tried to call them yet. I would probably contact Dave if I couldn't get John.. he responds very quickly via email.
