I had the Maryland Crab cake with succotash and tartar sauce. The crab cake was mediocre but the succotash was delicious with fresh vegetables and beans. The tartar sauce isn't the fish and chips type more like a horseradish cream very good.
I didn't try it but the Clam Chowder looked delicious at our neighbor's table.
The turkey dinner is quite good here and 5 out of 6 adults planned on ordering it but when the neighbors table got their pot roast entree it looked fabulous. So three of us ordered it instead. We weren't deliberatly nosy. These two tables were close and you had to turn to the side to walk past in your seat. It was braised beef in a cabernet wine and mushroom sauce served with mashed potatoes and garden vegetables. The meat was so tender you just pulled it apart with your fork and the mashed potatoes were creamy and delicious but the best part was they served it with thinly sliced and deep fried onions on top. When you took a bit of them with the mashed potato you just automatically said "yum" out loud. The three of us just keep saying "yum" after each bit.
My DH still had the turkey and that was also quite good. After being together 20+ years he knows my fork is on his way to his plate. It is like very good diner turkey dinner. Real turkey but excellent prepared stuffing but my mashed potatoes were better than his which weren't as creamy. Either he got a different batch or they make a separate one for the pot roast entrees.
My BIL went very off theme here and got the pasta with chicken, mushrooms and bacon in what looked like a vodka sauce with basil leaves. Can't say with any stretch of the imagination any colonist ever ate this BUT it was delicious. I thought it was such an odd item to order but at least they called it "William Penn's Chicken Pasta". I cracked up at that but it was tasty.
The portions were very large, I didn't notice any downsizing since last time. This greatly outranks TTS for lunch.
My biggest complaint is the tiny bathroom. If you can you are much better waiting and going to the huge but off the beaten track restrooms that are in the pathway between Liberty Square and Fantasyland behind Peter Pan. There is exactly two stalls at LLT. The line is out the door. Add the number of small children in the stalls with thier mothers and it makes for a long wait. Next time, I'll leave the restaurant and walk over there, it would have been faster.
