Review of Garden View Tea

Great review, I would love to try it one day! Would you think it would be ok for a solo trip?

You could definitely go solo! In fact there was a lady sitting in the table next to us by herself just relaxing and enjoying tea. Have a great trip!

Sounds like bliss to me, especially after the crummy day I have had today :rotfl:

Thanks for the review! Glad you loved it as much as we did. We did packages and not ala carte but still delicious!

I've been there three times and it's wonderful. Does anyone recall which teas they sell in the small tins? They are in the glass cabinet behind the checkin desk but I can never remember which they are. :confused3

I think the Garden View blend was one and maybe the princess breakfast also? I can't say for sure. I'm not usually a tea person but I really liked it here!

Nice blog! Just read the Harper's Ferry section as we are taking our kids there next month! But you haven't visited my state of NH...come soon. It's a great place.

Thanks so much! We're going to be in New Hampshire this summer before we head to Maine. Any special place you recommend? Really looking forward to seeing New England. Have a great time on your trip!

It looks great! I definitely want to try it with my mom in May now! :goodvibes How long did you end up staying there? Do you happen to know their hours?

Garden View Tea Hours: 2pm-4:30 to 5pm closing time varies depending on time of year.

Our tea lasts about 1 hour. It is nice to sit and relax.

:goodvibes

Thank you for sharing the review and pics. It sounds and looks like you enjoyed yourselves. :goodvibes

I have a question:

In your pictures it looks as though the service items are all ceramic as opposed to bone china. Can you verify if this the case? (I don't blame Disney for using heavy duty dishes as they see a lot of use and abuse)

I ask as my daughter has been requesting we try the tea room, but I know since my family has always been "big" on tea and my own mom serves tea on holidays using the fine china, that looks similar to those in your pics (although thinner, and gold edged), that we will both be disappointed if it is not since we'd be going more for the experience than the food (not planning on ordering food at all.)

I think it was ceramic and not china but I'm not totally sure. It wasn't clunky but didn't feel especially delicate either if that makes sense.

We love the tea room! We went for my daughter's birthday....we ordered a la carte and special ordered a small birthday cake from the GF. It was the perfect celebration!

What a nice place to celebrate a birthday! I didn't know they would do cakes too. I bet your daughter loved it!
